We ordered 2 tortas Hawaiian and Norteña and we split them. Omg! Absolutely hands down tortas perronas. No wonder why they are called the tortas perronas. Oh got agua de melon and Sandia fresh as it can be. Love this place!

They need to change the name to just “Tortas”… Jk. But they’re not like I remember them at all. However they’re still tasty. And it is always a cool chilango atmosphere for the most part. Maybe I was un lucky and got a bad batch. But they’re no where near as big or meaty as they used to be. And for $9 to $13, juat feels like I was short changed. I’m only comparing these to how they used to be, before y’all start getting defensive.

I am not easily impressed when it comes to Mexican food since it’s what I cook everyday day, but……. my first bite of the torta hawaiana was a different experience. They are generous with the pineapple, which is the star of the plate. The lady that took my order, recommended the chipotle and she was so right . I just blinked and my torta was gone. Will definitely be back! By the way… the agua de piña was so delicious.

Saw someone taking about this place on reels so thought to check it out. Feel like it was over hyped. It’s overall good but they’re not really filled up much. Personally think Tqueria el DF has better red and and green sauce and their tortas are more packed and filling. I found this place to be average and not worth the near 45 min wait for the tortas…they weren’t particularly packed when we stopped by
