I got there at about 7:30 in the morning. I seated promptly at freshly cleaned table, and had a drink within 1 minute of being there. My server was Malayah and she was amazing! I am unfortunately quite picky about things because a lot of textures bother me. Malayah made sure to fix my drink when it didn’t come out as expected the first time and exchanged it with something else when the second attempt wasn’t right. I eat my scrambled eggs very well done and dry (yes I know it’s strange) and she made a point of checking in about the eggs specifically after ensuring the cooks got them perfectly dry for me. The cooks did an amazing job because my eggs were perfect, waffle was fluffy, and bacon was crispy! I was checked on the perfect amount too, enough to make sure I was good without feeling rushed or it becoming annoying. Heather, the manager, was so sweet when I asked a question on my way out too. All in all an amazing way to end my back to back 16 hour night shifts.

The potato pancakes weren’t potato pancakes at all… they were more like potato crepes… and then to add insult to injury… it cost more for 02 people to eat there than it would at Applebee’s or Olive Garden… two people was $80.⁰⁰. We won’t be returning here. We will also let people know about the terrible food and that it’s way overpriced.

We had our Thanksgiving dinner at this Perkins. The waitress was great, however the food was something to be desired for sure. Both of us had the turkey dinner. The turkey was like shoe leather. The green beans were fresh green beans and cooked on the griddle as were partially blackened. My partner had corn and it tasted nasty. The stuffing was obviously “stovetop” and dry like it had been sitting out all day. Waitress brought us new turkey, it was cooked on the grill as well to warm it up. That was obvious from the looks of it. It was just as dry and nasty as the turkey on our plates. She even brought more gravy so we could attempt to choke it down….however it still didn’t make it eatable. .
The manager never come to resolve the issue or speak with us. So the waitress comped one of our meals. One turkey dinner, a slice of carrot cake and a drink was $30 with tip. We tipped her as she did everything she could. Crap food quality for $30.
They conference room we were in smelled of must and mold. Then the heat come on and made the smell even worse. Several in our group mentioned it “smelled like dirty feet” in there.
I’m sure we will get the same standard reply as on all the rest of the negative posts on here from corporate. Instead, how about you oversee the restaurant bearing your name and fix it!
We will never be back, you can bet on that. We can go eat at Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, etc and get a better meal for the money than you can ever get at this location!

I often count on Perkins for good, simple food on the road. I also have found the staff helpful and pleasant. But today was exceptional, including the other customers. I asked permission before bringing in my Service Dog. The manager was very accomodating. (Yes, I know we cannot be denied access, but I always find restaurants appreciate cooperation!) I had just “slid off” I-70 near Topeka and driven about 12 miles before the first exita I could find for Topeka. I was a bit shaken. Everyone was so nice to my dawg, and one customer even offered for me to stay w her overnight when she heard I was looking for a hotel! She did say she had a cat, and I wasn’t sure if my dog miight be an imposition on her space. Everything I encountered made what could have been a miserable experience in icy, snowy, winter weather into a very warm moment.

The food is good basic Amiricana reasonably priced in an informal setting. Great place to get reliable comfort food that filling at a reasonable price. It is a touch on the bland side but considering the range of customers and pallet perfectly understandable. Good selection of meals great reset selection.

Decided to give this location another go after my last experience was horrible. I thought perhaps their service had improved since my last visit. Last time I was there I had a server who was not only rude but extremely unattentive. My husband and I went in during the lunch hour yesterday. The hostess was very kind. After being seated to my dismay the server who attended us the last time was the same server I received. this time I made sure to catch her name. Christina. The snobbish attitude that comes with this woman is atrocious. She does not contain a bit of professionalism. She rushed us for our drink order, then took forever to bring them, she rushed us through our order THEN she couldn’t even deliver our food. We saw her only once after our food was delivered by someone else and that was delivering the check. While waiting for our non existent server I took a trip to the restroom and she seemed overly occupied flirting with the cooks. Perhaps she should learn there is a time and place for everything and while people are waiting on you is not the time to be ignoring them while their food sits in the kitchen and they are busy thinking they are cute in the kitchen. I will NEVER return to this location. I will drive to Lawrence if I have to or just go to IHOP. I will also be sure steer everyone I know who frequents this establishment to refuse to return as well. I will be sure to post this across all review platforms so people know what type of people are employed here. Absolutely disgusting service.

Ordered a build you own omelette. Sausage and cheddar. Came out without sausage. Sent it back. Seems like the unfolded it, cut up a patty and threw it in one end. Put American cheese slices on top(I ordered cheddar) Was so greasy I couldn’t hardly stand it. Won’t be back…and I’m scared to even try the muffin!
