This gem of a restaurant is nestled in a park-like setting next to a golf range. We drove across the valley for 45 minutes to see what Glenrosa was about and boy, I’m glad we did!! The food was delicious, inspiring, tasty and not like your typical Mexican chain establishment. I highly encourage all to check it out!! PS: Our server, Amber, was remarkable, professional, personable and when asked to recommend a dish or two, she knew what we should order and she was right!!

The place smells amazing when you walk in! The wood fire grill lights up your taste buds but the taste of the food and the portions will leave you very unsatisfied.

We ordered the smoked tuna quesadilla, pork belly taco, street corn, hamburger, fries and chicken ‘tulips’. This place should be considered a Tapas restaurant because the portions are minimal – as well as the food. I’m not sure where they get their chicken but I’ve never seen a wing or drummy that small! One bite chicken thing on a bone.

The smoked tuna was nonexistent… there appeared to be some sort of meat but couldn’t taste anything in the 1 bite that was served. The pork belly was very overcooked, dry and tasted like leftovers. Hard and almost unable to chew with absolutely no smoke flavor at all.

The hamburger was overcooked, dry and flavorless. Fries were good but very greasy. The street corn didn’t have much flavor either.

Save your money, have another drink but eat somewhere else!

We went for our Valentine’s Day date. We ordered a cochinita pibil torta, two shrimp tacos, and one carne asada taco. I asked for the salsa on the side because I like it very mild. Shortly after the order was taken away, they came back and told us that my three tacos had to be the same because it had to be part of the dinner menu since it started at 4:00 PM and it was already 4:03. I agreed to order all shrimp tacos. When the food arrived, my tacos had the salsa included, which was too spicy for me (even though we asked for it separately). My husband was brought a breaded chicken torta, which the menu said was milanesa, which is clearly not cochinita pibil and wasn’t what we ordered. We told the waitress, and she said it was fine. They changed my tacos, without any salsa. When we told the waitress that they hadn’t put the salsa on the side, they said they didn’t put the salsa on the side, it was all or nothing. And my husband didn’t get the torta. They only brought us cochinita (slow-cooked pork)!!! Which is a completely different dish, and that’s not even mentioning that we ordered the chicken taco from the kids’ menu for my baby, and they brought us two adobo tacos that had nothing to do with grilled chicken. The waitress even told us the taco had cheese and onion, but it was just a chicken taco in adobo sauce, which we couldn’t give to my baby. When they brought the bill, they didn’t show us the itemized bill; they just gave us the total and brought the card reader, something that has NEVER HAPPENED TO US BEFORE! The atmosphere is very nice, the place is cute, the food is just okay. In the end, they didn’t bring us what we ordered; they substituted whatever they wanted and charged us more for food we didn’t order. We wanted to try something new, and what a disappointment! If you have the chance, skip this place!

We got the queso and it was super different. Its thicker than usual and you fill tortillas with it to make like a queso taco. The yuka was a little too crunchy but the taste was amazing. Then i got the fish tacos and holy cow the batter was so crunchy and good. Definitely worth getting.

Absolutely amazing experience at Glenrosa! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — modern but still comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. Every dish we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. You can really tell they care about quality and creativity here.

Went on Valentines day, made a prior reservation. The environment was romantic & so pretty. Loved both indoor & outdoor scenery. It was a wait on food, an hour before we were served. But it was a holiday, the service was great, they comped some things & apologized for the wait. Everything was fresh & so healthy but delicious. Food was worth the wait. It was so mouth watering & to perfection! Everything from chips & guac to the dinner & the special valentines dessert! So tasty & also served so pretty. Definitely recommend & will be on our list to return!

Great atmosphere and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Seems like it would be a lovely spot for a friend outing. Was a bit let down on portion sizing + flavor as it just wasn’t enough to reel me in for another visit. The ceviche was not what I had expected and flavor was lacking here. The fish taco was yummy, but the flavor of the carne asada also lacked a punch of flavor which I expect from Sonoran cooking.

For the pricing, I did expect more from our visit.

Went for the first time today and was so pleasantly surprised, and loved the views!!

Quite a few reviews here express that the food, portions, and/or flavor weren’t up to par with folks’ expectations.

I disagree — I think that every plate we ordered absolutely smacked. The one dish I have any feedback on is the shrimp ceviche — it was a tiny bit on the bland side. However, it was still tasty and certainly a great portion (we had plenty of leftovers).

It was 2 of us and we shared the ceviche, cochinita pibil, chips and salsa (& guac), and street corn.

The cochjnita pibil literally melted in my mouth. It was so tender!

The drinks were absolute bangers. That spicy margarita is everything—get it with a tajin rim.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Devon, our server/waitress, was very kind and attentive.

Wrapped up with some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and rolled our happy asses home.

Wonderful place for families or a fun night out with friends! The sunset, the views, the open doors and windows. Exactly everything we love about Arizona can be enjoyed on this lovely patio.
Staff has also been fantastic on the three occasions I’ve visited. The food was absolutely delicious and so savory.
And truly, chef’s kiss to the refreshing margaritas! Safe to say we’re obsessed.
