Came here on a Friday for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. There was a lot of seating available.
We were happy to find the sushi to be very fresh and not made with too much rice. There was also some sashimi available on the lunch menu, which was great! Hot tea is also an included beverage.
We did find the eel avocado rolls to be a little bit too sweet because of the sauce.
They had a good variety of dishes and the food came out really quickly.
Service was excellent. Very nice staff. Price is reasonable too.
Washrooms were clean and warm, especially in this cold weather!
The robotic serving is adorable, such a convenience and timely addition.
The servers constantly check in and remove any garbage/finish dishes while accommodating any dietary restrictions or allergies. Extremely kind and always offering refills on the beverage.
How did I not know about this place earlier! Will be bringing guests in no time.
Food I ate:
Mango chicken with steamed rice
Pad Thai
Mango icecream
Fried banana
Chocolate pudding (more of a jello)
Beef and chicken skewers were so tender and juicy and not dry. The cheese wontons are my go-to appetizer and also because I just love cheese but they never miss with the cheese wontons ugh The fried scallops and the tempuras were so crunchy/crispy and not oily at all which i loved. Drinks are free refill! ❤️ WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY?!
I recommend also you pay them in cash! You’ll save more 🙂
I think they shoukd focus on dine in only and cut the take out, or hire more wait staff/structure it differently. It isnt that big of a resturant so they should be able to have 1 to 2 servers focus on just tabke service, ie drinks, napkins, then another staff or two doing rounds to remove dirty dishes and then a few servers to do running of the food items to the tables along side the robot cat.
The trays are big with a nice variety and can feed 5-6 people for just over $120. The 10% cash discount is always appreciated as well!
The AYCE has a very nice menu, the food comes quick and is always delicious, all the staff are very friendly as well!
The main concern has been with one specific lady who works there. I haven’t been able to get her name, but she seems to always be present during our visits and has repeatedly made me feel uncomfortable. She often has a rude or dismissive tone when speaking to me, and on multiple occasions, she has rushed us by repeatedly asking if we were done — even while we were still eating our main courses and hadn’t ordered dessert yet. She would approach the table with her hand out for the iPad before we were finished, which felt invasive and pressured. It creates an atmosphere where you feel watched and hurried out instead of welcomed.
There was also one situation that stood out to me. Both my drink and my boyfriend’s drink were clearly empty. She came up to the table and only offered him a refill, looking directly at his cup and speaking only to him. She did not acknowledge me at all until he specifically asked her to refill mine as well. Even he noticed and found it odd that she ignored my empty drink entirely. That interaction made me feel dismissed and uncomfortable.
During my most recent visit with my family, I initially thought she was not our waitress that evening. However, she still came to our table regarding my drink order. I had ordered an iced tea, and instead of politely informing me they were out, she told me in a sharp tone that they didn’t have iced tea and that I needed to order something else. The way she spoke felt irritated and almost annoyed that I had ordered it in the first place. She continued repeating that they didn’t have it without offering alternatives in a friendly manner, which made me feel upset and embarrassed. Unfortunately, this tone is consistent with how she has spoken to me on previous visits — she has never been warm or welcoming toward me.
Additionally, during that same visit, we waited about 25 minutes for three ice creams after already paying the bill. We reminded the waitress several times, but she would nod without really acknowledging us, and the ice cream still took a long time to arrive. It made us feel overlooked and unimportant as customers.
I also spoke with a family member who mentioned he experienced the same rushed and uncomfortable service from this same lady when he visited with a group of friends. Overall, the repeated rushing, rude tone, lack of attentiveness, and unwelcoming atmosphere have taken away from what should be a pleasant dining experience.
