I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was very very tasty. The country gravy was perfection! The bacon fried rice was delicious. They serve very good sized portions also.
If you haven’t been here, definitely give it a try. And make sure you ask for Rose.
The service first off was great. I felt really welcome and instantly comfortable with the atmosphere. I actually seen a reel online about flat and crispy pancakes and it just clicked to me that this was the place. So of course we ordered that. My lady ordered Joe’s Scramble with the bacon rice and I ordered the country fried steak with the country potatoes. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive. The flat and crispy pancake came first so I had to go on and try that. First bite reminded me of a casava cake with the crispy edges. No wonder why people likes it, very delicious. The country potatoes with the chicken fried steak also delicious, I love how crispy some of the potatoes were. The omelet that my lady ordered was pretty good also, she’s not a big fan of mushroom but she said it was pretty good. Over all the service atmosphere and food was great. We would go back to this establishment again in the near future for the pancakes and other items from the menu.
This place was a lot bigger on the inside than I thought. They had 2 entrances/ exits, and through each room was a dining area. I believe there is possibly another room in the back and outdoor seating. Looking around you can tell this place has been here for a while, since 1998 I believe.
The lady who helped us was super nice, and she took her time with us. We were a party of 14. She wasn’t rushing us with how busy they were. Our food was out in no time, and you could taste the quality of the food. I thoroughly appreciated how delicious the food was, even with all the hustle and bustle of everything.
My husband and I ordered:
1. Short stack of pancakes: You have the option to have it thin and crispy. We just had it the regular way. The pancakes were fluffy and buttery. The syrup was even piping hot.
2. Hearty country breakfast: They did not skimp on the gravy with the biscuits and gravy. I’m happy I decided to go with sausage patties. It was heaven in every bite.
This place was amazing, and I definitely can’t wait to come back soon. There are so many more items I want to try
