upon entering Ichigo Ichie, you are greeted by an atmospheric entrance room complete with a starry sky above and a roaring waterfall emptying into a small pond to your left. then continuing on into the main dining rooms, you are almost let down to see traditional seating. however, the booths are beautifully upholstered and are U-shaped with generous seating. Ichigo Ichie’s menu Is standard for Hibachi-style restaurants. we selected the grilled squid appetizer along with the mushroom soup. for entrees, we selected a salmon roll and the filet mignon hibachi to share. when the squid arrived, we had to smile because it was a whole squid sliced to keep the original shape of the squid. it was nicely grilled, however the flavor was odd and the accompanying sweet sauce was not very good. the mushroom soup was delicious and the portion was extremely generous. the star of the evening was definitely the hibachi dinner. the steak was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were seasonal and delicious. the rice was enough for three people at least. the sushi roll was also very nice – fresh and beautifully presented. service was a little slow but polite. prices are very competitive. I would like to go back and try some of the other dishes. if you go, there is plenty of parking . recommended… except for the squid!

I got two sushi rolls and a side miso soup. I’ve had miso soup plenty of times and I love it. However, my first spoon from the miso soup at this place left a very weird and nasty taste. I opted to leave it alone. After a little bit, my soup looked like this. I’ve never seen a miso soup do this before, because I’ve gone to Asian cuisine restaurants with others who don’t like it and just leave it. So when I saw it look like this, I’ve only seen it once before in a dunks coffee that was left on a bureau for a few days… Service was regular, sushi rolls were solid, atmosphere is nothing special.

I’d say the food here is a solid 3.8. They’re mostly known for hibachi but I tend to stick to the sushi and random apps. And the sushi I probably some of the better if not best in the area. The teriyaki salmon is a favorite of my mother’s along with the mushroom soup.
You’ll want to make reservations and heads aren’t an issue, I’ve seen them accommodate a party of 14 in the dining room and a 17 at a hibachi table.

The food and service was top notch with Molly our server at Ichigo Ichie! I enjoyed the beef bento box while my friends all had large portions of chicken fried rice. We all enjoyed the lunch time atmosphere and great time together catching up as friends and enjoying great Japanese food!

We went here on valentines day around 830pm. We were sat right away but it took about 15-20 mins from when we sat until we recieved our drinks and got to place an order for appetizers. Once our orders were placed it seemed like the appetizer, soup, salad, and meal came out all within minutes of each other. Im not someone who looks to wait long in between courses but I don’t like when the soup , salad and appetizer are still in front of me and my main course is now being set down in front of me where I have to give up my other plates. It could’ve just bc they were overwhelmed from valentines day. All in all food was amazing, worth it,and I will definetly be returning.

A place we used to visit often, but this last visit will be it for us. Very disappointed. I ordered hibachi meals and 5 maki rolls to go. I live 35 minutes away, got home and found all the rolls were missing their finishing sauces. If you order a spicy scallop roll or spicy salmon roll….it’s the spicy mayo on top that makes it spicy. Without it….the roll isn’t the same. Well, all the finishing sauces were missing. My family was so disappointed, it really changes the roll. We never have left over maki rolls, but tonight, we did. My kids weren’t interested. I called and they said they could give me a $1 credit because it was only the sauce. My son wanted the spicy roll and because the spicy sauce wasn’t on it…he didn’t want it. I don’t mean to sound petty, I was just so disappointed.

This breaks my heart to write as someone who has visited a bunch and had nothing but amazing experiences here. We have waitress’s that recognize me and my boyfriend. Tonight we went in with our niece for her birthday. To start, the host seemed shocked we were in there asking for dining and had to rush over to go set up a table for us. (There was multiple tables already set up) She only put down 2 sets of silverware and we had to literally grab one from another table. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come over, which was a young kid who came over didn’t even say anything just out waters down. Finally our waitress came over and rushed to take our drinks. She came back over with the wrong drink for my niece and that’s when she was like “well what do you guys want for food”. I sat there for about 20 minutes and as she is bringing out our food we had to remind her of my drink, that wasn’t even put in. When we were done with our food I literally watched the girl tell the young kid to check on us. (There was 2 tables on the dining side) I ordered another drink. Another 10 minutes went and he brought over the check. Didn’t bring my drink and was rushing us out. We told him we wanted desert and he said “let me see if we can even do that” with a massive attitude. My boyfriend got up and told him forget it, and forget the drink that never came and we will just pay and leave. That’s when the waitress finally came back over and with a massive attitude said there was only her doing both dining and hibachi. Walking out there was 3-4 people standing at the hostess stand. I don’t know what happened tonight but we are incredibly upset with the service.

Had an event in rhode island and drove up from CT. Hibachi is something we all can eat with adults, teens, and kids. Parking lot was pretty full. We took it as a good sign the place is popular. Walking in, you’re greeted by a waterfall. Thought there’d be fish, but were none 🙁 . We went to host and were seated pretty fast as our whole party (4) was there. We ate at the hibachi table. Our table was soon filled with about 2 or 3 other parties. One thing that bothered me was that the tables went straight to the floor with no foot test or anything, and the chairs don’t have a foot rest either. Yet the chairs are tall, so your feet just barely touch the ground (I’m 5’9″), and I really just wanted them to be rested on either the ground or a foot rest. Back to the service- We ordered edamame for appetizers and I got a seaweed salad. The beans were cold. Tasted like they were frozen and reheated but not even fully. I make them better at home. The seaweed salad was okay. They served us a nice soup (which was welcome bc it was chilly inside) and a salad with a tasty ginger dressing. Then came the show with the cook. I wasn’t really in the mood for it but I’ve learned you get better food at the hibachi table than ordering table service at these types of places. We had the kids hibachi with chicken, and 3 regular dishes with shrimp and chicken, shrimp and scallops, and one with just salmon. We got rice and veggies with that. We had a decent serving of food. But i must say at other hibachi ive been to, it’s been quite a lot more, and also usually with rice AND noodles. We didn’t have much to doggy bag. I asked the server secretly if they could sing happy birthday to my nephew. He got fried ice cream, and the other had cheese cake. Everyone left with full bellies. But the two of us that had the shrimp also left with bubbly stomach! Uh-oh! But all in all, it was a good vibe, the staff was nice, friendly, and accommodating. I thought it was going to be bad because of some of the reviews, but it was decent. I’d possibly go back if in the neighborhood and in the mood.

Our first visit and it won’t be our last! The vibe is awesome service was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was delicious, rice was on the bland side, but that’s the only off comment I have. Our group of 9 had a blast, definitely would recommend.
