Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant’s on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille’s wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 – 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. We love Capital Grille! It is our go-to for birthdays and anniversaries. We visited this past Saturday to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was a wonderful evening! I love the decor of the restaurant. Check out the five clocks over the kitchen, one of which is Plano. We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. It is our favorite. My husband ordered the Sea Bass and I ordered the Scallops with lobster and asparagus risotto. Both were delicious. The warm fresh bread complimentary to every table is the best! My husband really enjoyed a birthday drink of Knob Hill whiskey. Since we were there to celebrate a birthday, we were served a complimentary flourless chocolate espresso cake and cheesecake with seasonal berries. Nice! That brings me to the best part of our evening, our server Robert. Robert made the evening an evening to remember. He was so friendly and welcoming, took lots of photos to document the happy event, and encouraged us to return soon. We will!

Came here to celebrate with my family. The service here was excellent with with the waitress and the wine director providing friendly and top class service. Food was also very good, especially their dry age steak. The appetizers were about average, though. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere that’s well suited for most occasions. The price was also not too bad, considering the ambiance, service, and the food quality. I definitely recommend giving this place a visit if you’re not looking to spend too much on a special night out.

A great restaurant for all types of occasions. Ambient was great with the great service. Although my porterhouse was little disappointing compare to the porterhouse that I had in the past, the seafood tower and the desserts were awesome! Our server Daniel was attentive and very professional! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I attended a work dinner party and ordered the pan seared sea scallops with lobster risotto. My risotto was a little gummy and the scallops were all unevenly cooked. We did have a table of 17 people so, maybe it was hard to get everything out perfectly but, one co-worker had to send her dish back and another just didn’t eat it because it was so over done. The sides were good and the drinks kept coming but it was exceedingly hot in the room we were in and kept having to open the patio doors.

I recently visited to celebrate my first wedding anniversary. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and congratulated us on our anniversary! They even had heart confetti and a handwritten card waiting for us at the table when we were seated.
Our waitress, Hannah, was incredible. She was so kind and present and was so delightful to interact with.
All of the wait staff was amazing, one of the women who helped box our food after we finished even gave me a few extra pieces of bread she noticed I had liked!
At the end of our meal, Hannah surprised us with a congratulatory dessert and roses. This was so thoughtful of her!
I can’t recommend this place enough! Every time we visit we have a great time, but this visit was phenomenal. Thank you so much to everyone at Capital Grille and especially thank you to Hannah for making our anniversary so much more special!

The Capital Grille is an exceptionally good steakhouse. Their filet mignon is incredibly flavorful, especially for that cut of meat. And their prices are very reasonable, considering the level of service and quality of food.

Was in town on a business trip and decided to take myself out for a nice dinner on my birthday. I sat in the bar area but there were booths available. Had a pleasant, knowledgeable waitress that entertained me. The manager also came by for a chat to let me know I reminded him of his grandmother in how I eat my food – very deliberate and slow. Gotta savor all that flavor! We had a nice laugh and moment. My waitress persuaded me to get the salmon (which was at the bottom of my list) but I’m so glad I did. It was light, airy, and delicious! Then, I couldn’t decide between two desserts, so she brought both! I thought that was very sweet of her. And she was right again – that coconut cream pie was a delight! This was one of the best services I’ve had and I can’t wait to return.

Service is unmatched to most restaurants! Atmosphere is Texas and local history, a total gem! The food however needs improvement. The recipes and food quality are minimal for fine dining category at best. It is not priced for the quality but priced for the service and atmosphere. I have had better quality and gourmet food for half. But the service!
