I usually have an amazing experience at this restaurant. The unique menu options are a big draw—American nachos and the Jasadilla are two of my absolute favorites. The staff is consistently wonderful, and the kitchen delivers every time.
But this visit? Management dropped the ball.
When I received my bill, I noticed that every single item was priced higher than what the menu stated. I politely asked my waitress about the discrepancy, and she explained that the restaurant is in the process of rolling out a new menu with price increases. However, the new menu hasn’t been implemented yet, and they don’t even have copies of it available. Despite that, their POS system is already charging the updated prices.
She apologized sincerely and said she couldn’t adjust the charges to match the current menu because she didn’t have access to the new pricing details. I don’t fault her or the kitchen—they were both excellent. But this lack of transparency from management is unacceptable.
Charging customers more than the listed prices without notice feels dishonest and left a sour taste after what should’ve been another great meal.
My family and I came in around 7:30 Thursday night 1/15/2026 for dinner.
We got an appetizer. 3 colas and a water.
A cuban sandwich with fries, a bar burrito, Onion Rings, and Pulled pork Mac n cheese.
Food was good & Ok. What you expect i assume.
When we received the bill we noticed that all the menu items were higher then listed on the menu. I politely asked the server about the price difference and she said let me go find out.
A little while later she returned and and there was a comp adjustment on the bill. She informed me that the menu prices reflect a card usage fee. But the new bill had the same charge for each menu item on it. I was very confused. She apologized and said “that’s how it is.” She said “I can speak to the manager” who was behind the bar. After asking for clarification the manager said “That when paying in cash the difference has to be calculated as a cash discount.” ??? This is very confusing for me.
I’m not usually one to complain but I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and a lot of bars and usually there is simply credit card fee (percentage) after the sales tax or something similar. And if paying in cash that fee doesn’t show up. I ended up paying the bill in cash which was my original intention. and I left the server a pretty good tip. But the end experience with the bill really ruined the whole dining experience. We walked away very unhappy. Maybe I’m just behind on the times but that was one of the oddest bill interactions between server and manager I’ve ever had. Looks like within the review section We aren’t the only guests who have had an issue with the bill.
