Cozy pub for Irish & American bites, live music & events such as trivia & bean-bag tournaments.

This is our Go To place whenever we’re at Downers Grove. Great food, (we’ve had the Corned beef & Cabbage, corned beef bites, and the Irish pudding! So good! ). Great Service! The staff are friendly, warm smiling people. Jackson was our waiter tonight and he did a good job in checking on us what else we needed. Great Atmosphere! They have a Live band playing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They also have a private rooms for special events, corporate events, and more. Kitchen is open late until 1:00AM every Fridays and Saturdays. We had fun here tonight! Thanks!

Great atmosphere! Service was less than stellar. Don’t bother with the corned beef sandwich. Absolutely pitiful. I would expect in an Irish joint I could get a decent sammich. It was all chopped up (mostly scraps it seemed) and sparse. For 17.00 I expected more. Huge disappointment. The band was really good though. Seven Soul brought it. Good spot for a beer, just skip the Ruben and corned beef sandwiches. They and truly awful.

Ballydoyle’s definitely nails the authentic Irish pub vibe. From the moment you walk in, it looks, feels, and even smells like a real pub, which I appreciated. The atmosphere alone makes it a comfortable place to grab a drink and hang out. Five stars when it comes to the atmosphere.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which always goes a long way and made the experience more enjoyable.
As for the food, it was okay but nothing that really stood out. I ordered the shepherd’s pie, it was good overall, but I found it to be a bit too salty for my taste. Not bad by any means, just not something I’d go out of my way for again.
All in all, Ballydoyle’s is a solid spot for the atmosphere and service, especially if you’re looking for a genuine pub experience. The food is decent, but not the main highlight for me.

Great local dive bar I went because my brother-in-law was performing in the band up on the stage. The food was great once I finally received it. The service was fairly poor getting my food and drinks took about an hour and a half maybe even 2 hours. And the borrowers literally behind me. So I think if they improve their service could be quite a great place to go. It was packed so maybe that’s just my experience.

We had a great time on Valentine’s Day. We went specifically to see the band Seven Soul. This time the service was really bad. We had to ask two times if our appetizer was coming. The waitress thought it had been brought out already. I’m not kidding when I say it took over an hour and a half and three asks to get our dinner. My drink never arrived and eventually I was told they no longer had the ingredients to create the beverage I requested from their menu. Previously, we’ve had good experiences here, so we’ll give it another chance. It seemed there was only one person waiting on the entire bar area and one other to the side of the stage. Perhaps they weren’t ready for the crowd.

Excellent service! Friendly staff and customers – overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. Variety of food and drinks. Great seating options – inside and out. So many wonderful things to share for whatever occasion!
Our organization held a fundraiser on a Tuesday night for 80+ people and had various moving parts. The staff was super helpful, flexible, and committed to making our event a success.
Ballydoyle staff went above and beyond – that’s who they are!
The staff and management also coordinated seamlessly with the staff at Cadence Kitchen who catered food for the event. (This speaks highly of both restaurants and their collaborative, community spirit!).
Definitely go there for lunch, dinner, drinks, to listen to music and/or to host your parties and gatherings! We love Ballydoyle!

We just left the Breakfast With Santa event. To say were disappointed would be an understatement.
First…the “buffet” for $25 per adult encompassed only lucky charms, powdered eggs, sausage, and dense pancakes. Only plus side were our kids cost was $13 per so that at least lessened the blow for breakfast considering the below average quality
Second…. We paid ahead of time and then were initially charged double and our server was very much confused on what to do.
Third…breakfast with santa is clearly tailored towards kids yet they didn’t have any juice….literally no juice (apple, orange, grapefruit, etc) with the only option of chocolate milk.
Fourth…the “santa” or the guy tried his best but was on his phone when we went into the room, had his beard hanging off, and apple watch very noticeable to wear our daughter questioned it.
Fifth… the layout of everything and communication was garbage and nit efficient. The employees were confused and didn’t communicate basically anything.
Sixth…the plates were cardboard similar to something you would find in a jail cafeteria along with plastic utensils. We had to search for napkins.
All and all very disappointed as this is catered to children and walked away needing a pallet cleanse for a better and more fun experience for our kids.
Would highly recommend elsewhere for a similar event.

The food has always been good and the staff is friendly. They have live music, so it’s a nice place to go relax, have a drink, eat and listen to music.

Looks like a fun spot to hangout at or grab a drink. I went for dinner on a Saturday night with my girlfriend. We ordered 2 alcoholic drinks which were very strong tasting. We tried the elote dip for an appetizer which was mediocre. Our entrees were the fish and chips which were not good at all. The fish wasn’t even crispy, and just tasted like soggy fish and the tartar sauce was nothing special. Overall, pretty good service, but the food was not worth it considering we spent over $100+ for food + tip.
