I was so excited to finally try this restaurant because of the good reviews and how close it’s to my home, but I would say 5/10 why you may ask well i ordered quesabirria with consome my total for just that order $21.66 but im so disappointed of the size of the quesabirrias is not worth it and super expensive, my hands were much bigger than this little tacos and no cheese omg lol

Food was ok, definitely recommend the tamales. Tacos were not very authentic but the enchiladas were excellent. Atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly. The pronunciation section of the menu gave away the mediocracy of the food but was funny to say the least.

Very good service. Came in to pick up a mobile order and they were very fast. Had a combo that included a beef enchilada, cheese enchilada and 2 tacos, with chips and salsa. Simply fantastic, very good food. Would rate overall a 8.5-9. For the food. Very tasty. Please go to this place for flavorful food and great combo meals/food in general. ❤️ The food. My recommendation approved.

The food was mediocre. Service was terrible. The fajitas were bland. The sizzling meats were good, but I couldn’t taste any fajita seasoning. The salsa was fresh but nothing spectacular, and the appetizer was pretty good. Once the food came to the table, we never saw our server again. I got up to get my own glass of water and stood 6 ft away from a lady who was so engrossed in her cell phone that I stood there for 20 seconds before clearing my throat so that she would look up. If I have to serve myself, then I can get a family style tray from Costco . I’m tired of paying inflated prices for a poor experience.

I hadn’t been to El Salto in a few years because there are so many good local restaurants to choose from. We’ll add this place to our rotation. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is pleasant. Service was very good.

I had the special tonight and it was a great choice. Lots of shrimp and scallops, in a cheesy sauce, with grilled zucchini, yellow squash, and broccoli. A lot of food for$15.95.
Update 6/24/24 It’s been a minute. New entrance in the front. Same great food and service. I had Nachos El Salto Go Texas…a platter of nachos piled high with steak, chicken, and shrimp, with green & red peppers, onions, and cheese sauce. They were so good ! Also got an order of beef enchiladas that were good. This place continues to be a great place for a fantastic meal.

This was my third visit here and I wish I’d tried this place sooner for as long as I’ve lived in the area. Prices are very reasonable and the food and drinks are pretty tasty. My only disappointment is I requested soft shell tacos with cilantro and onion but got hard shell with lettuce and cheese. It was still tasty. I also asked for pico and didn’t get that but had to ask for it to be removed from my bill. The server also seems to lack attentiveness but the restaurant was pretty busy and she was friendly. I certainly plan to visit again.

Order a Pina colada, it won’t disappoint.
The enchiladas were solid, as where the tacos. Overall a very good meal.
The guacamole was a wee bit salty. But the chips lacked salt so it balanced itself out.
All and all will be back.
