Quiet atmosphere with plenty of television entertainment. Conveniently located near a major event arena, so it’s perfect for catching a quick bite before the show or game! Server wasn’t very personable- he sort of took our order and ran away. Food was good, for the appetizers and beer we had.

Decent food and beer. The menu is mostly pub fair but they had a few interesting surprises, like a chicken pot pie. I had the Cobb Salad with chicken and was underwhelmed… maybe a little short on the bacon, but I did enjoy the 2X Milk
Stout. The restaurant is spacious and they have a nice big bar. The beer selection is heavily slanted toward IPAs but that seems to still be the trend. My servers were very attentive without being overbearing. It was a nice experience and I would come back.

Pumking Imperial Ale: Although I’ve become less of a beer guy since my college days, I couldn’t resist the urge to pick this up. Even though I find them to be real hit or miss, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall and though it has been a few years, Southern Tier’s Pumking is my reigning champ. The artwork on the bottle shows a cool illustration of a pumped-up pumpkin king cackling as he shows off his guns in a sleeveless royal garb with an eye-catching pumpkin orange colored background. My bottle poured a slightly hazy deep copper color. Pumking’s aroma is described by Southern Tier as a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice, vanilla, and buttery crust. As Southern Tier likes to say, it’s essentially pumpkin pie in a glass! I wouldn’t go that far, but in the land of pumpkin beers, it is good enough to be king in my opinion. I detect pumpkin the most in the aftertaste, but it’s pleasant and not burning/too spicy. There’s also a nice combination of vanilla and cinnamon that help contribute to the illusion of pumpkin pie. It’s sweet (for a beer) and not overly bitter with an IBU of 28. Being an imperial ale, it’s a bit BOOzy at 8.6%ABV, but the aforementioned flavors mask it well. Move over Jack Skellington, there’s another Pumpkin King in town, Pumking is Doughboy approved

My wife and I have stopped in here several times for a beer or two before a concert or hockey game, last weekend we dropped in after walking around canal side. She had the Carmel Pumpking and I had the IPA both of which were very good! For an appetizer we ordered the whipped Feta with pita bread which was AMAZING. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich which was excellent, my wife had the Hierloom BLT, also excellent.
Our waitress Shania G was friendly, knowledgable and

Unfortunately very disappointed with my meal. I ordered the “shareables” loaded fries and the size was disappointing for the price ($13). One of the people I was dining with ordered a side of fries (for $3) and they were served on the same sized plate with the same amount of fries. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think the cheese sauce, ranch, and bacon bits justify them being $10 more. Another person I was dining with also ordered a “shareable” and his serving was what I would consider to be a shareable size. It made me think I was served the wrong thing. I don’t know the servers name but she was very polite.

We attended yesterday at the last minute with a U11 hockey team and had no reservations. Despite that, the staff was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to find us seating along the wall so the kids could sit and eat while making sure we made the Sabres game in time for puck drop.
We were even served while standing and sitting in the couch area at the back something they absolutely didn’t have to do, but did anyway. The food was amazing, and I want to give a huge shout-out to Tori, the manager who worked with us. She did a 10/10 job, and I was beyond impressed with the level of service and care.
We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend checking this place out
