Very good and surprising portions. We got the rib tips till pay day, very delicious and for $50 it feeds easily 4 people. We got alot to take home afterwards. Fast and great service, our waitress even threw in some free cornbread for our first time.

We came here to try some of the local flavor. Figured barbecue would be really good, and since another restaurant was closed today, we decided to come to Famous Dave’s instead.
The barbecue wasn’t consistent across the board. Their menu is pretty good. I got the burnt tips, barbecue chicken, and boneless wings three meat combo.
The wings had a good flavor, but needed a little bit more sauce. The chicken was really mushy when I started eating it, and it was too soft so I didn’t eat a majority of that. Of the burnt ends that I ordered, I only had one little juicy piece. Other than that, it was dry with sauce slathered on. They give 2 halves of corn, which is a large portion with a little bit of butter on them, but they didn’t have any flavor to them. I guess because they weren’t salted. The cornbread had a good flavor, but it was dry and needed butter.
My husband got the breaded chicken strips and they were really dry. I wouldn’t recommend them, he said he really liked his brisket and chili.
The place was clean and our waitress was a little busy waitressing a whole bunch of tables at the same time, but we had other people coming around in the area and were able to flag them down to get us a few things we needed throughout the meal.
The food quality was average, wouldn’t come back here for barbecue. The place was easy to get in to. There were barely any people there. and we went at peak Sunday dinner time.

Awful! All of the menus were absolutely disgusting with food and grim- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
Part of the menus were completely rubbed off- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
There is a layer of filth on the moose which is a focal point located above the fireplace in the middle of the restaurant- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
The fireplace has black soot on the fireplace mantel- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
There is a layer of filth on all of the exposed log beams- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
There was standing water in the ladies restroom- I wonder if that passes health inspection?
All of the food tasted gross! Years ago we visited this restaurant frequently but NONE of the food or sauces tasted the same. The meat food portions are super small and was served on Toast to give the appearance of a larger serving- awful!
The waitress didn’t come to our table for awhile (maybe 10 minutes) but the service after that was fine

I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered the brisket and it came out as a dry hard pot roast. Appetizer was fast and great however the rest of the meal was disappointing. Thankfully they comped my meal. Will not be returning. Yuck!

She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we sat down. she checked on us regularly, made great suggestions from the menu, and made sure everything was perfect with our meal!

Restaurant is pretty quiet for a Saturday night, so we didn’t have a wait. Full rack of ribs was just okay. Not bad, but definitely not the best. Coleslaw was decent. Loaded baked potato came steaming hot. Delicious cornbread! Prompt and friendly service.

We showed up here end of day and sat in the lounge. Kid friendly and service was great. Drinks came regularly and as often as needed. Kids well taken care of. Very rustic feel and the vide was great for a family. Enjoyed it would go again. Only thing is and it’s a personal preference is there was lots of sauce but nothing that made the meal unpleasant.

Nice building with a rustic, country theme. Service was friendly and attentive. Sauces are flavorful and various. Lots of side dish options. I ordered Rib Tips and don’t know if it is always like this, but found them difficult to eat with lots of gristle and various tiny bone chunks. My wife is gluten-free. The menu makes no mention of what is available for gluten-free items. Normally at a BBQ place, it is not hard to find gluten-free options, as most items are. However, at Famous Dave’s most of their items are not, all of their dry rubs on their meat has gluten as well as their sauces. Our server was well-informed, but it seemed like this was her strength and it is uncertain whether every server would have this same information. Prices were on the higher end. Honestly, if we wanted more affordable BBQ we would probably go to Dickey’s which is a Fast Food place near by, but the best BBQ place in the area is DeSoto Grill which is truly special.

We went in and ask for a warm place to sit, due to an autoimmune issue, they sat us in a cold space. Then the server would not allow me to keep my walker with me. I ask to speak to manager and the server, a male, told me he was on the line and could not pull him off. The server told me it was as as warm as it gets. Due to his inability to care about the customer and unwillingness to get the manager, the let him know we would not be back. The servers response was “okay” and walked off. He was a shorter dark haired guy with a mustache. This was 2/22/26 at around 12:40pm.

A great place to eat. The service is awesome. The food was great. We don’t have a Famous Dave’s of where I live. We use too, but they have all closed up. I really do miss the restaurant.
