Fast service, amazing food, free chips with queso and salsa both while you wait for the meal, only finished half and the meal was out and they were busy. Very pleasantly surprised at the unusually fast speed. Food was great, I asked for sour cream and they came right back with it. Perfect dining experience.

I ordered the lunch special for $10.81 got the carnitas and couldn’t finish it all and gave me a Togo box to bring it home.
The presentation was nice too. They had each ingredient separately on the plate. And came with free crunchy nachos being hot and the cheese and spicy tomato sauce cold so it stays warm in your mouth.
I can’t really beat that price point comparing it to a certain taco chain that’s open 24 hours a day. So when you guys do have a chance. Check the building out and see if you want to order also make sure you come hungry if you wanna finish that lunch plate.

The restaurant very busy and parking was limited. The wait staff seemed to be short-staffed. However, they were very friendly and well-trained. Chips,tortillas, and the salsa were made in-house and delicious. Warning, the queso was very hot because of the jalapenos that they used. All of the entres were yummy. I had the fajitas, enchiladas, and a taco with sides of rice and beans. Despite of how busy the restaurant was, they kept the place very clean.

Every time they bring chips with sauce and queso with jalapeños which are great . Lunch specials are great like this one for $9.99 ,wow . I rather stop here than go to Bill Millers or Heavys BBQ or Whataburger. Service it’s awesome very attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant. My favorite place in Hondo. Gods Country

This place was such a pleasant surprise! The food portions are not just big but they’re delicious! Good quality chicken and salsa. The salsa isn’t too spicy but has enough chile to taste great. The rice was good. Our chicken fajita nachos came with a side of pico de gallo and guacamole. My husband and I shared this one entree and we were so full! The waitress was nice and very attentive to us. As soon as you come in you can seat yourself anywhere you like and we were greeted with that message as soon as we walked in. I am coming back for sure!
EDIT: And the restrooms were cleans! Yes! Also, very nice mexican decor and tvs everywhere. Love this place

My husband and I went out on an early date night. We visited this restaurant and I ordered beef Mole enchiladas! My first time eating enchiladas with mole sauce and they were delicious!!! This plate is their special on Thursday $9.99 with tea. I suggest that you order this plate and the mole sauce is a sweet one. My husband stayed on the safe side and ordered his with just cheese. They used Oaxaca cheese the best kind!!! He of course tried mine and said I should have ordered your plate. Regardless the meals were amazing!!! We will definitely be going back and taking our children, very friendly and clean establishment!!

Ordered breakfast tacos and they were so stuffed with food it was falling out both ends. Bacon & egg, sausage & cheese, it was delicious. I didn’t take any pictures of the food I forgot and just started to devour them…so tasty. The staff was also very friendly.

This was my first time trying El Rodeo and I was impressed. My cousin in Utopia has told me about it for years but I’ve never jumped in.
The first thing I noticed was it was extremely busy and fast paced but folks that were coming in had a place to sit.
They brought chips & salsa right away. The chips were of the thicker, courser variety and I didn’t find the salsa that flavorful although I sat there and ate it. The salsa did have some kick. It’s not the place I would choose if I was wanting amazing chips & salsa.
They have a large menu and I was easily able to get a recommendation between a couple of items I was trying to decide between. I ordered the Parrilla for one which is chicken, beef, sausage, & shrimp on a sizzling skillet. It includes your choice of corn or flour tortillas and comes with a side plate that includes charro beans, guacamole, & pico.
The food was really good but tough cuts of beef and chicken that could use more seasoning kept it from being great. They also load the plate up with mostly tomatoes, with a few onions and bell peppers thrown in.
One thing about this place is the plates are huge and I would call easily shareable. I’m not just judging based on my plate but from the many plates that I saw come out from the kitchen.
So…would I go back? I definitely would. But it would take me a while to work my way through the massive menu!

I stopped in for breakfast on my way back to San Antonio. I’m glad I stopped here! Food was great and the service as well. I had the Juevos Rancheros with a side of Barbacoa. Tortillas were warm and of the right texture. Coffee was good. Looking forward to trying lunch next time I’m in the area!
