During our road trip through South Dakota, we had the pleasure of stopping at Perkins for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! My absolute favorite dish was the brioche French toast, which was perfectly fluffy and delicious. I paired it with crispy bacon, over medium eggs, and a side of sausage patties, making for a hearty and satisfying meal.
The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the service we received was excellent—attentive and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend Perkins for anyone looking for a great breakfast stop. It’s a fantastic choice during a road trip!

Zaynah was our waitress and she was very attentive. She does a very good job. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. The food was very good. We have been eating at this Perkins for many years. The manager was very friendly and he made sure that we enjoyed our dining experience.

Fast and friendly service. Food came out hot and wasn’t overly greasy. Cost of items not clearly posted, decent amount of “peek-a-boo” charges.
Hangover burger was a letdown. Just a tiny dribble of hash browns on it. Ordered the potato soup with the burger instead of fries, got two charges for doing so even though the memo said soup or fries comes with the burger. Potato soup was nasty, wrong cheese or wrong amount of the right cheese gave the soup a very unappealing sour taste like it had gone bad.
Country fried steak was on the tough side, to include the middle of the steak.
Potato pancakes and the blueberry pancakes were great.
Clean restaurant, staff was hard working; restaurant appeared understaffed.

Hadn’t eaten at this Perkins in a long time because it wasn’t very good. The food was ok, but the service was always terrible. Decided to try again the other day (1/31/26) and it hadn’t gotten much better. The food came out cold and eggs were undercooked. Not cooked wrong but still slimy undercooked. The wait was pretty long considering empty tables all over the restaurant. We were there for over an hour for just eggs and pancakes. Don’t really like giving low reviews but we have tried the place 3-4 times over the years and it’s never get the better.

This is a very bad Perkins location. Poor quality control, filthy restroom that clearly hadnt been cleaned in hours because the poop stains were crusted onto the seat. See photo of what the 15$ turkey dinner came out looking like. I’m just hoping my family and pregnant wife don’t get sick from the clearly poor quality control

Rapid City, SD did not disappoint. Staff were warm, inviting and attentive. Food is prompt and delicious. Perkins holds a special place in my heart from childhood. I’ve been to this location 3 times now while traveling for work and will make will make it a point to return for future travel.

Dont even bother. Door dashers that show up are more important than customers alreqdy waiting to be seated. We had been waiting for several minutes for a host/hostess to show up front to seat us. A door dasher shows up and after a few more minutes the hostess shows up front and assists the door dasher, instead of the people waiting. The hostess then disappears and we are left waiting again. After several more minutes of this, we just left.

Yesterday I picked up our “Turkey & Stuffing Celebration Feast”, first time ordering from or dining at Perkins. I didn’t realize it was going to be this much food, 6 tins of food, 5 cups of gravy and two pies, for about $138.00. Essentially, we had enough for dinner last night, Thanksgiving and Christmas once they get here, or for 6 people with possible leftovers, or for two morbidly obese Americans with no self-control. The service was great! The cook came out with the order, he showed me the entire order to make sure everything was there, and one of the waitresses helped me carry it out. Very friendly, great service and everything we tried was great! Thank you guys!

Arrived around 4pm for dinner and we were promptly seated. Loud rap music was emanating from the kitchen over the background music playing in the restaurant. Ordered roast turkey and mash potatoes. The food was cold, and generally un-appetizing. I saw no reason to ask them to heat the food. My wife’s meal was much the same. The sever applied a 10% discount (the reason for the 2 rating).

Service is ok, the biggest complaint is time….To Go- 7 min, Not 17 min later or….Dine In, come tell your customers IF your cook is behind or your having employee issues! They will more likely understand rather than waiting forever… The Restrooms….OMG! PLEASE…..Check them every hour!!! Gross. Employees. Waitresses, Cooks, use this and highly probable of cross contamination!!! Gross!!!
