a good hole in the wall sushi spot. we were a party of 5 and the bill came out to about $45 per person for AYCE (including gratuity). the food was great but a bit slow coming out, which was understandable given how much we were ordering. we came for the sushi of course but I think the calamari was my favorite menu item, the seasoning was really flavorful and had a good amount of spice.
the decor and overall atmosphere weren’t that great. the front door is a bit easy to miss and doesn’t feel like you’re actually supposed to be there… I’m all for fish paintings and statues usually but they made the place feel pretty dated. I still thought they were silly. we were seated at two small tables that were pushed together. the booth seats were also in individual parts that moved around when you tried to scoot down. this was obviously not a dealbreaker, it was just a bit strange.

Food portions are big. Food is good. This was my first time here, i had questions about the menu, and the young kid told me he didnt know and wasnt very helpful. I didnt mind because i hungry and tired. But overall food is good, prices are fair, and nice hang out area

dont like to leave bad reviews, but this place was truly disappointing. We came for the all-you-can-eat sushi (~$45 per person after drinks tax and tip, typical price), and it took 40 minutes to get our first items, which were just four bowls of miso soup. Another 5–10 minutes passed before any sushi arrived.
Although portion sizes were decent, when it finally arrived, the fish tasted as if it had been thawed from frozen, the flavor was questionable, and everyone at our table ended up feeling sick after eating the meal. Booths had some wear and tear, but overall restaurant ambience was average, nothing good nothing bad about it.
For the price we paid, the quality and service were nowhere close to acceptable. Would definitely not return.

An amazing sushi place that has been a long-running fixture in Davis for over fifteen years, making it one of the oldest sushi places in town.
They have a variety of tasty & fresh sushi, and the a la carte rolls are very huge.
My only qualm is that the all-you-can-eat option is only available during select hours (530p-830 I believe), which is not listed on their website or other recent reviews.
They did not pick up the phone either when i called, so I couldn’t confirm they were even open until I parked & walked up (about 930pm)
I was very much looking forward to stuffing my face, I will have to wait another day to do so (note, the two rolls in my photo DID stuff me up!)
*addendum – although the Jusco website doesn’t have hours for AYCE, a photo of the business hours in the *menu* section of Google does!

Loved the pink lady and cherry blossom special rolls. Also had the opportunity to try the unagi bento box which is perfect as an entree on its own. This was one of the only few places in Davis open around 10PM so we lucked out. There’s a nice bar next door as well if you want to finish off with some drinks.

Dine in or take out (or door-dash) Jusco always delivers. I am a fan of their rainbow roll, Davis roll, 007, as well as the tobiko nigiri, and so much more.
All you can eat sushi offered, as well as price by individual roll. They are open until midnight most days, making Jusco the perfect place to order an evening/late night snack.

Around $15 per roll. Not bad sushi, not particularly interesting. If you go out w friends and want sushi, it works. Make a reservation the restaurant is smaller.

this used to be my favorite place, but i think the quality has been a bit down as I remember it. The roll I ordered, the crispy flakes tasted old, I thought it was a one time thing but both time recently it has been so. I hope they address this

My favorite place for sushi, It has very good price for a reasonable amount of food. I do recommend their hurricane roll it’s amazing !!

All you can eat – they do it with a little card you mark your options on. Leave it at the end of the table every time you want more, and they grab it within just a few seconds. Water refilled within seconds too! Waiter is super quick, cook is super quick.
A ton of vegetarian roll options, all really good. Fish good quality. Lots of appetizers. Comfortable hole in the wall atmosphere. Don’t bother if you’re the type to complain about interior decorating or stacked chairs in the corner lol
