Food 5/5. Vibes 5/5. The staff 5/5. Roberto makes excellent drinks and is a very kind person too. Definitely the kind of place you’d go to tingle your tastebuds. We ordered the sausage bread appetizer that was served along with marinara sauce(we asked for a refill on the sauce because it was too delicious) and a Santa margherita pizza. We left this pizzeria with a smile on our faces and happy tummies.

The pasta was good, but the pizza was just okay. The pizza crust was oily; it seemed fried, not baked.
There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived, but we waited a long time to order. We arrived around 6:40 p.m. and didn’t get our food until about 7:30 p.m.
I would come back for the pasta, but I’d skip the pizza next time.

My wife and I are really happy that Giorgio’s is now open in Mountain View. I started going to Frankie, Johnnie & Luigi Too, when my parents took us once in a great while when I was 9 years old. I won’t say how long ago that was, but I remember the original restaurant before they expanded to next door and added the dining area in the back. Over the years, besides the pasta, pizza, I used to enjoy the meatball grinders. Also, when I played Little League at McKelvey baseball park in Mountain View, next door was where adults played softball and I remember that one of the teams was Frankie, Johnnie and Luigi Too. It’s not as big as Frankie’s used to be, I think there were 6 tables inside and 6 stools at the bar plus
there’s also outside seating available. We went for dinner last Saturday and the food was very, very tasty! You get sourdough rolls with garlic butter. We had
Chicken Parmigiana and Spaghetti Pomodori with shrimp both with generous portions. Plus, we had a very good bottle of Chianti Classico Reserva wine. For dessert we ate the chocolate Gelato and we ordered the Tiramisu to go. Our server George was excellent, he’s very nice, attentive, and knows what he’s doing. We knew him from a previous place. We also want to give a shot out to Marian, who we talked to for awhile, and she was very nice as well.
We’ll be back!!
We recently ate at Georgios again, and George waited on us again and we really like him. We sat inside and had the house salad, homemade minestrone soup, and for our main courses the New York Steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables and Spaghetti with marinara sauce and mushrooms. Everything was really good! The amount of Spaghetti you get is really big and I had to take some home. For dessert, we had chocolate Gelato.
Now, they have their liquor license, so you can have a cocktail.
Went for dinner again, and of course the one and only George was our server!
We had a bottle of wine, LA Bruschetta to start. Our main courses were Cappellini Pomodori with Shrimp and a D’s Big Bacon Cheese Burger. We had the bacon on the side this time. Both were really, really good! The portions are large and the burger is big! We ordered the Strawberry Cheese Cake to go.
We went again recently and of course George was our excellent server! You get sourdough rolls, but this time we ordered the Sausage Bread which has slices of their own family made Italian Sausage, which by the way is sooo good!
Our mains were the Chicken Parmigiana and the Cheese Ravioli with Italian Sausage and both of course were so good. The portions are always plentiful for sure. George did give us a brownie! One thing about the bar is that they got rid of the bar stools without any backs and replaced them with some really nice ones with backs and padded seats.

I went with my family for dinner on a Friday night. We did not have reservations but the friendly staff were able to get us a table in about 10 minutes as we chose to sit indoors. The outdoor seating looked rustic and inviting but it was a cold night and although they have heaters, I didn’t want to brave it.
We ordered off the vegetarian options on the menu.
We started with the minestrone soup and although it has chicken broth, we were ok with that. The bread on the house was soft and delicious! But the soup was quite lacking in flavor.

We ordered a vegetable pizza and the fettuccine Alfredo. The vegetables on the pizza were like semi baked (zucchini) and the tomato slices on top were placed as garnish, which is a slightly different concept for me, but I’m not sure I’m a fan. It also lacked quite a bit in flavor IMO and tasted quite bland.
The pasta was ok; nothing to write home about.
The service was good and staff was pleasant but the food unfortunately was a little disappointing. Again this is the vegetarian part of the menu and that may be the reason

I really enjoyed their food this evening at their soft opening. Their chicken Parmesan absolutely nailed it. The pasta that went on the side had delicious red sauce. I’m forgiving them on a Caesar dressing thinking that they might take the hint and squeeze a little in there from now on, but other than that, the food was absolutely excellent..
there is outdoor dining area and a bar area to sit at kind of diner style in the restaurant as well as tables inside, however not so many. I can imagine these guys killing it with takeout.

In the middle of El Camino Real in Mountain View is Giorgio’s Italian Grill and Pizzeria, a cute Italian joint with plenty of seating (outdoor as well) and free parking.

I got the complimentary bread bowl which you have to ask for. It comes with delicious subtle garlic butter and fresh sourdough. I got the chicken parmigiana. It was a large platter of breaded chicken, spaghetti with marinara sauce, and garlic spinach. The chicken was insanely tasty with melted mozzarella and fresh tomatoes on top. It was well breaded and extremely tender on the inside. They did not skimp on the chicken at all with 2 big cutlets of it. The spaghetti also tasted extremely fresh with marinara sauce. The garlic spinach was very oily though, but it did have a subtle garlic flavor. I didn’t like the spinach as much. The portions were extremely large and I got 2 meals from it!

OVERALL, Giorgio’s was a delicious spot with decent service and great ambiance. The dishes were quite affordable for its large portions. I definitely recommend Giorgio’s to others, especially those who come in large parties.

The food here is excellent, fresh, flavorful, and consistently well prepared. Be sure to try the Stromboli pizza( now called the Giorgio! Special) it’s always been a standout. I’ve been coming here since high school, so yes, I’m dating myself… It’s been about 45 years!

My only frustration is with the reservation system. They won’t allow reservations for party of four, only tables for two, which doesn’t make much sense. And when I tried to book for a time between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. nothing was available. Okay, yet when I arrived there were plenty of open tables. Maybe there was no shows, but it still seemed odd.

Overall, the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes and the food keeps me coming back; despite the corks and the reservation process.

My husband and I tried out this new location tonight. The food was very tasty. I would recommend either main dish we got (Chicken Parmigiana, Penne Calabrese) as well as the minestrone soup. I wasn’t a huge fan of the free bread, which seemed possibly a day old. It was extra chewy and didn’t seem that flavorful itself. The patio was nice, although being right on El Camino does guarantee some traffic noise. Service was good, especially for within an hour of closing at a place that just opened. They were a little slow to check back after the meal was delivered but were otherwise attentive. Overall, we definitely plan to return and I am eager to try out some of their other dishes that sounded good.

We returned tonight and I got the cheese ravioli, my husband got the Chicken Parmigiana, and our friend got Shrimp Fettuccine. Everything was very good, including the rolls this time. I was particularly impressed with the marinera sauce and also the spinach with the Chicken Parmigiana. The service was attentive throughout and the server also split the check appropriately for us.
