Food was great. I had the Mexican Caesar salad with sirloin tips. Delicious and probably large enough for a meal for many people. Entree was the sablefish with beet roots, ravioli, and mushrooms. Not a fan of sablefish but the dish was good. Friendly, attentive but not overly attentive staff.
Would definitely return and try other dishes on the menu.
As far as the food, I was a little shocked by the beef carpaccio as it is not sliced thin and looked as though it had been seared outside which is not usual..and really wasn’t flavorful at all with raw onions and capers sprinkled without any sauce.
French onion soup was great!
We dined at 5th Avenue Grill on Valentine’s Day and wanted to share some honest feedback. We have always enjoyed your restaurant in the past, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing.
Unfortunately, the level of service and overall execution fell well short of what we have come to expect. The food was served cold, and the wait staff was not especially helpful or attentive throughout the evening.
In addition, the lobster bisque was so poorly prepared that it had to be sent back entirely. Several of the dishes were not done well, and ultimately none of us finished our meals because the food quality was simply not up to standard.
We understand holidays are busy, but given the occasion and the reputation of your restaurant, we expected a much higher level of service and preparation.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we would like to continue enjoying 5th Avenue Grill in the future, but this experience was well below expectations.
