Really disappointed during the past few visits. They seem to be permanently understaffed. Last week when I had ordered the house salad – there were no tomatoes, olives or red – onions. 3 ingredients missing!!!

to make matters worse, the main chef was cooking without any hair net or gloves. – Just a baseball cap on.

the cleanliness, quality and timeliness of this place has really deteriorated.

I really hope this place makes a drastic change for the better.

Service great, employees are also very fast but store management needs to be a bit less cheap and greedy.

Charge $2 for extra sauce and you barely fill it, no doubt charge extra if sauce is costing you alot but don’t lower your standards to this level.

Picture included.

The Port of Peri Peri was a major disappointment and easily one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. The biggest issue was that there was only one employee trying to do everything, working the register, handling online orders, running food, and dealing with the kitchen. As a result, the entire service and food quality suffered badly.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear the restaurant was severely understaffed. One person was juggling taking orders at the counter, packing takeout, managing incoming online orders, and then trying to serve food to the tables as well. This wasn’t a case of someone being slow or inattentive; it was obvious he was completely overworked and set up to fail by management.
Because of that, our food came out in terrible condition. The rice was cold, the chicken was not properly cooked, and everything tasted like it had been sitting out instead of being freshly prepared. It completely ruined the mood of the evening; after waiting, the least you expect is a hot, properly cooked meal, and this place could not even meet that basic standard.
The most frustrating part is that this feels like a management and ownership problem, not just a “busy night.” If the owners choose to keep the restaurant open and continue accepting dine‑in and online orders, they have a responsibility to staff it properly. Running a place with one exhausted worker doing the job of several people comes across as cutting corners and chasing money instead of caring about customers or employees.
To the owners: if you cannot hire enough staff to operate smoothly, you should reconsider your business model or reduce your hours instead of making customers pay for a clearly broken operation. As it stands, this felt like a pure money grab with no respect for service or quality.
I will not be visiting this location again, and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal or a pleasant dining experience.

I love Port of Peri Peri, and while searching for halal food for a family dinner with friends, I came across their Plano location and decided to host our gathering there. As always, the food was great, but the biggest disappointment was the disposable cutlery. It was quite embarrassing that anyone trying to cut their chicken ended up with a broken spoon or fork.

What started as a frustrating experience turned into a shared joke, as one person after another faced the same issue and could not enjoy our meal. It was truly disappointing for a dine-in experience. This restaurant should consider providing proper stainless steel cutlery so customers can fully enjoy their meals.

Was a very disappointing experience. Not the port of peri peri that used to be so good. I remember the Sugarland one and we used to eat there regularly. I ate once in this location 1.5 years back and still was ok. But yesterday was a very bad experience, the tenders were dry and hard to even chew. I took 28 tenders with rice and chicken for a family gathering and everyone was disappointed. The only reason I want to even give 1 star is because the lady in counter had the patience to work with me to give the best combination for the best price over the phone.

I love this place I will be back to try more things on the menu. Really cool that you can mix sauces. My favorite combination is hot/lemon herb. There are an abundance of sides. Drinks are available to, I usually stick with water. the portion size was very good. A lot of bang for your buck. Clean facility, friendly staff couldn’t ask for more.

Ladies and gents, I must say, this place was spectacular . The food was so delicious, I left so full and no upset stomach. Most places have you feeling bloated but this place didn’t make me feel that way at all. Everything was delicious down to the bone. Oh and you must try their garlic sauce, OMG, it taste good on Everything. We had the fried cheese, the chicken and rice bowl, the mixed olives and the fries. I topped my fries with ketchup and the garlic sauce and I literally died and went to heaven. Oh BTW, if you like spices, you will love the extra hot sauce, it really has a strong kick to it. Now with that being said, go try Peri Peri, you will love it.

Its one of the first places to look for a quick and healthy dinner. Chicken is always very delicious and good amount of available parking outside. Sometimes it does take a long time to receive the order. Fries are delicious with the peri salt.

Great place to hangout with friends and enjoy good food on a weekend. When called for reservation, they said it would be busy and food might take an hour. But it didn’t take long. We got the food in 15 mins after placing the order. We took whole chicken with 2 sauce flavors peri peri hot and med hot. They were both flavorful and juicy. In chicken wings we had lemon sauce and the most spicy one on the list. Don’t forget to ask for the garlic sauce which adds more flavor to every chicken. The corn quantity was too much. We ordered 2 and had to take one home. Rice had dry spice’s flavor which tasted like Indian bagara rice to me. Overall a good experience
