I don’t live in town any more. When I visit I always crave that tomatillo ranch. I decided to try Costa Vida tacos (take out) instead of my usual spot, it’s competition. After removing most of the lettuce, what I see convinces me to stick with the competition. Costa Vida ranch is not as thick, but I would say it tastes better.

Mercedes was amazing serving us and was so friendly! My husband and I were so impressed with her! Recently I switched to Costa Vida because Cafe Rio at multiple different locations in Utah has been not a good experience and Mercedes just solidified that Costa gives better service and the food has been so much fresher!

Just had the most delicious dinner at Costa Vida in Cedar City, and I can’t stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home—like I’d been a regular for years. They’re super friendly and accommodating, even tossing in some spot-on suggestions for customizing my order to make it just perfect.
I went with the steak salad, and oh my goodness—fresh, flavorful, and way better than anything I’ve had at similar spots like Cafe Rio. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, the ingredients are top-notch (shoutout to the gluten-free options for my dietary needs), and the value is unbeatable for the quality. Everything was made to order, super quick, and packed with that authentic Mexican flair that leaves you satisfied and smiling.
If you’re in Cedar City and craving fresh Mexican goodness, this is your spot. I’ll be back next week—maybe for those mouthwatering sweet pork enchiladas! Highly recommend to everyone.

My son and his fiance had their 1st date at this location almost a year ago. So their request for the wedding dinner was Costa Vida to acknowledge that 1st date. We had the wedding dinner catered for 100+ people, and it was AMAZING. It was the first time I had Costa Vida being from Oklahoma. I was so impressed with the quality of the food. They were easy to work with, thorough, and did a great job with everything. I can’t thank them enough!!

To those that order their food through door dash: store employees hand your cup to the dasher and expect them to fill your cups. Please keep in mind that most dashers DONOT have their food handlers card, nor do they wash their hands before they are given your cup to fill and put the lid on, meanwhile, CV employees are required to wash their hands AND wear gloves. I witnessed a dasher refuse to fill the cup and they clearly stated “I don’t have a food handlers card and I have not washed my hands. I am out here opening restaurant doors, car doors, and picking up non food items, it’s not a good idea for me to fill the drink order”. I sure hope there are more responsible people like that working for door dash. I wonder what the FDA or county inspectors would have to say about that.

Every time I come to Costa Vida, the food is excellent. The employees are very friendly and greet you every time you come in. The portions are large and the price is not very high. Lance is very friendly. So is Jon and Al of the others! 5 stars!!!

I think the girl that took care of us was named abey we went February 19th at 6 pm. She was one of the ONLY ones upfront and even after being put in such an annoying position she was still super kind and fast with our order. Come to find out she wasn’t up there alone because they were short staffed she was up there because her 3 other coworkers were in the back just talking. Mind you we were there for at least 15 minutes.

Very busy for dinner. Wait was around 40 min. But the food and staff are great. The bathrooms were not named, and no paper towels. But there was hot water and soap. So all good!

First time at CV. It was packed so I thought I’d try it, Friday night. Long lines but I get it, Friday night.

Got up to counter and I could not believe how messy the front was, food was all over the rims of the heat table, staff appeared exhausted and over worked, dazed. No one was wiping the food scraps up…they were sweeping the floor while front lines were prepping food for customers… I was starving so I ordered two entries and a desert.

Unimpressed. I have to say it was the most bland, basic Mexican -style meal I have ever had. Nothing to write home about, lacking spice and flavor and just boring. One staff member, up front cashing me out, was doing all she could to keep it afloat, if not it sure felt like it. Seemed like they were not short staffed. Desert was fine, Tres Lech’e and different for a fast food joint. Cannot understand the lines here. Life’s too short to eat boring food. I get it if you have kids, but this food is not for anyone who has a palate. Maybe it’s just an Utah thing.

I typically love this place, but just today I had a very disturbing experience here! Im not one to be a karren, I know how hard it is to run the window especially on a big day but the person at the drive through (the reciept says Kay B) was very rude and impolite, if I see him there again I won’t be ordering. He seemed angry when I told him I diddnt want queso on my nachos, and when I asked for steak on top he became rude and harsh toned, then he asked what size, and in all the years I’ve spent eating at costa vida I’ve never had a “size of steak” its usually cut up already. Anyways I didn’t know what he meant by what size, so I just said put it on top and he became more upset. When I got to the window I noticed one of the drinks were wrong and when I asked him to change it he was very vicious, and grabbed the cup from me and returned with the same amount of force almost dumping the drink onto me. Anyways if this is the customer service costa vida is going to have the they will lose many customers. Please make a change, I hope he wasn’t this rude to anyone else.
