Whatever the most recent owners did, I’m not loving. Even though the new owners are from New York it taste less like a New York slice now. The flavor’s texture and size were spot on before. Now my kids don’t like the Sicilian slice anymore. It used to be light and airy. I don’t know if they change the olive oil or something that they’re using but now it’s dense and basically like everyone else’s now. They’re also making everything much smaller. The two slices should not have this much room in the box. I don’t mind paying for things, but when you’re starting to make them so small that my 10-year-old needs two of your slices and it’s not from lil Caesar’s- it’s going to be noticeable

Last yesr I was at a party who catered Asaro’s and the food was so good I have been wanting to go there. Finally I had the opportunity today and brought my kids to grab some pizza slices. The pizza was great but the experience was even better. The staff (Donna and the guys in the pizza area) were so awesome and accommodating. Even the other customers were so helping and accommodating to help me carry our plates to the table, offer to help where i needed a hand because 2 young kids with 1 mom out in public is a challenge. This will definitely be one of our new “go to” places that I feel comfortable bringing the kids and very kid friendly. Also happy to have leftovers. Oh and the chocolate cake was sooooo good. We ate at 11am on a Sunday, outside with our small dog. Waitress was friendly and helpful. My wife had the Baked Trio: Lasagna, Ravioli, and one other and a side order of one meatball and one sausage and some garlic bread. All very yummy and enough for 2 meals the next day. She loved them all. I had Penne Primavera, vegetables with penne pasta and some added chicken. I went for the olive oil sauce. Mine was watery and had no olive oil taste so I ordered some red sauce, but the food was bland. No Italian taste, no garlic, no salt taste. Disappointing, even after adding the red sauce. I took mine home and doctored I all up and then it was tasty. Overall, it was a nice experience, especially because we could take our dog. We’ll go back.

Something has changed with the pizza recipe. Not sure if it’s the dough, the sauce or the cheese but it’s not nearly as good as it was a year ago. Service at the counter was fast and efficient. I ordered double sausage (and certainly paid for it) but it looked like a regular amount of topping. Even the guy that took it out of the oven asked the pizza maker (without me even asking) if it was right and he just shrugged it off. Prices feel like they’re way up and quality feels like it has gone down. Used to be my favorite pizza place in FL, but sadly, not anymore.

We love this place. Hands down the best Italian food in Nokomis. Prices are fair and food was great. Homemade pasta was awesome. Not sure why they don’t have higher ratings. We just went to another Italian restaurant on 41. Next to Eggstradornary. Was ok at best. Bread was cold and stale and we had to ask for it halfway thru our meal. Fried Calamari was good. Prices high for Italian IMO and our service was not that good. Definitely recommend Asaros for Italian!!!

We have ordered all white spinach pizza and asked for extra source .We got spinach white pizza with tomato sauce smeared on top. The whole idea of the white is not having tomato sauce on top. It was not salted and had no taste at all. I would never order from Azzaro’s ever again. Its used to be very good.

Pizza is always phenomenal Garrett is the nicest and a wizard behind the counter.
Have only ever gotten pizza until today- I dined in for the first time this evening. Corrine was our server and she was pleasant, funny, and very knowledgeable. Perhaps one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had- coming from someone who’s specialized in Italian wine and cuisine 7+ years.
Hostess Holly is hilarious an absolute positive light- she made us feel at home from the time we walked in and checked on us throughout our entire evening.
Restaurant is a healthy mix of traditional Italian and New York Italian. Portions are beyond heavily generous for the price! If you want to feel cozy while eating cozy Italian food- this is the place. We will most definitely be back. Bravo to the entire staff of asaros, keep up the phenomenal work!

We often pass by here, but the restaurant’s logo is obviously a pizza restaurant, and there are so many pizza restaurants that we didn’t think of going in to check it out.
A week ago, a friend said he had booked a table and invited us to eat here. When I entered the restaurant, wow there were many people standing waiting for a table. The food tasted great and the service was great!
We came again today and we ordered VEAL MARSALA, Veal is the main dish that my family must order for every meal. His favorite, he said it was the best Veal.
I ordered SHRIMP ALLA LISA. The shrimps were huge and the sauce was great.
Seeing so many people queuing up for pizza, maybe it’s worth it for me to try how it tastes next time.
