Always love stopping by Coffee Waves — it’s always a vibe when you walk in and the coffee is so good!
We got a decaf mocha Big Train with caramel drizzle and a caramel macchiato. The Big Train is definitely for you if you like super sweet drinks. I usually ask for half the scoops to make it less sweet, and that works really well.
For food, we ordered the ham, egg & cheese (can’t remember the exact name) and an everything bagel with strawberry honey cream cheese. Everything was super tasty.
The only thing I’d change is I wish there was a little more cream cheese for the bagel.
Service was pretty basic — not super friendly, not rude — which we were totally fine with. Overall, it’s a spot we enjoy stopping at.

We came on Valentine’s Day and LOVED the Valentine’s menu. I had the Wedding Cake latte and it was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. The gelato is excellent. My daughter and husband enjoyed slices of cake. It’s a cute shop with beautiful art throughout. They added “Sea Shelves” bookstore since we were there 2 years ago and it’s a charming addition.

Coffee Waves is a nice spot for a relaxed coffee break. The coffee was solid, and the mocha stood out — smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. I also tried both the marbled and pumpkin cake, and they were moist and flavorful without being too heavy. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it an easy place to sit for a while and enjoy good coffee and dessert.

It’s not often you find a coffee place that has a whole “nutty” section on their flavors menu. The service was friendly and fast, and my macadamia nut toasted marshmallow iced latte was so good! Will def be back next time I’m in town

When I lived in the area, Coffee Waves was one of my absolute highlights! This place is truly a hidden gem in Texas. From their expertly crafted artisan espresso drinks to the homemade gelato (perfect on a hot day), everything about this spot is top-notch. The vibe is cozy, and with free Wi-Fi and a great selection of pastries and paninis, it’s the perfect place to relax or get some work done.
Plus, the live music on Fridays adds a special touch. If you’re ever in Port Aransas, this place is a must-visit!

Very popular spot, always busy. The coffee was good. We had a coffee and a matcha. The matcha was already sweetened, which I didn’t expect. They didn’t ask, and it would be helpful if they mentioned that ahead of time. It felt like one of those pre-sweetened mixes, which usually means the matcha itself isn’t the best quality.
Prices are a bit higher compared to the mainland, but that’s pretty normal around here. Overall, a decent place. The muffin we had was actually really good

Smells great as you enter. All the different coffees but disappointed their breakfast croissants are premade. This is not a croissant bread but a toasted white bread. Frozen Sausage and egg. Should have just went to McDonald’s. I like their McGriddles better.
