Great later night sushi on Division. The miso is excellent and so is the service. I have never included a bathroom in a review, but it’s worth checking out.

We came here for our anniversary. And had great servers that were very friendly. There was plenty of room for us when we arrived at almost 9 PM on a Thursday night. I talked to the sushi person and she was very honest about what sushi was very fresh and which ones were just pretty fresh.

We ended up ordering Tako-Yaki, spicy salmon roll, Big Eye Tuna sashimi (was the freshest and most $$), salmon nigiri, a few hand rolls and a wonderful broth-less thick Ramen bowl. The broth-less ramen was the real stand out for the evening. I highly recommend trying it as the noodles were coated in a unique thick, delicious broth with a soft boiled egg and yummy charshu pork. It is called Kama-tama Ramen and is $16 for a good sized bowl or $24 for a large bowl.

One drawback, besides not having great sushi or much of a sushi selection, are the prices. We spent $115. for two folks sharing enough food to fill us and one tall can of Kirin – including tip.

Low key izakaya with authentically funky decor and a very casual vibe. We love the chicken karaage, spicy tuna and mackerel.
Beer, wine and cocktail options, booth, table or counter seating and very good service. One of my faves on the PDX izakaya circuit.

My family who lives in town swore by this place but they hadn’t been in years. We went tonight and it’s just not worth the trip. The salmon didn’t taste or smell fresh. They have a really small sushi menu. They got one of the rolls wrong on the protein and the server wasn’t attentive. There was a very sweet older lady who greeted us so for her warm welcome I’m giving 3 instead of 2 stars.

What ever you don’t go into this place it’s not worth the trip as soon as we arrived they couldn’t even give us a proper seat they keep insisting for us to the bar but we had a stroller! Are you serious an infant at the bar ?!! The place was completely empty there was literally only 2 tables being use out of the whole restaurant LOL ! And you cant give us a proper sitting table for me,wife & baby?!? We come every year to Oregon state and this year this place ruined it for us!! I highly suggest you go somewhere else!

Sushi selection and rolls are very unimaginative and of less than average quality fish. Hardly anyone in the restaurant and the service was very poor..we had 3 different servers and were constantly asking where our food was. No atmosphere at all. Got billed for food we ordered but was never delivered. There’s a reason this place is cheap..and I’ve listed them in this review. Find another sushi place to spend your money

Our favorite thing here was the cold noodles. Definitely the most delicious thing we had. Everything else was pretty much average. Nice staff and atmosphere. Would probably go again if I was in the area to try other things and see if it could get the rating higher for me. But probably wouldn’t seek it out on my own.

I do like that they actually use real crabs for their sushi and the bathroom is pretty cool with heated seats! The reason I gave this place a 3 star?. We came to this place around 11: 50 am and they opened at 11:30 am on a Sunday. It took about more than 5 minutes for someone to come to the front and gave us a seat. It just felt like they were’nt ready yet. Then when they took our order, after a few minutes we were told that they were out of the calamari. They just opened for the day and were already out? It took 30+ minutes to get our food and they were staggered. We got the tofu first. Then 5 minutes after the rice with curry and chicken. A few minutes after the pork skewer. My husband and I were done with our food when my kids sushi finally came. Our food did not arrive at the same time. It felt like they came every 10+ minutes. By the time the last order came, we were all done eating except for my son who’s food finally came. As you can see in the pictures we didn’t order a lot. Cute place but wont be coming back again.

Great food in a relaxed vibe restaurant. Staff are really helpful and friendly. It looks like it can get busy so arrive early to get a spot! The fish servings in the nigiri are really generous!
