The food quality exceeded our expectations in every way. The flavor and presentation of every dish were outstanding—beautifully plated, full of bold, well-balanced flavors, and clearly made with the highest-quality ingredients. Each course felt thoughtfully prepared and visually impressive. The drinks deserve special recognition as well—absolutely delicious and expertly crafted by skilled mixologists who truly know their craft, elevating the entire dining experience.
What truly sets Banchetto Feast apart is the passion behind it. You can genuinely see and feel the owner’s dedication and love for the restaurant in every detail, from the menu to the atmosphere to the exceptional service. Without a doubt, this was the best restaurant we visited this year. An outstanding experience all around, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend and best believe we will be regulars at this restaurant
On the positive side, parking was easy and the ambiance is lovely. The decor makes the restaurant feel far more high-end than in reality, and the overall setting is great for a nice evening out. The service was pleasant and the menu is very extensive; although that did make me wonder how much is truly made fresh given the variety.
We started with the Hot Antipasto sampler. It was fine overall, but nothing memorable. The calamari needed more seasoning and the meatballs were unfortunately terrible – tasted like they had been microwaved. The shrimp and tortellini, however, were quite good and probably the highlight of the starter.
For mains, I had the pork chop with a chilli glaze. I asked for medium rare but was told they could only do medium, which was fair enough. However when it arrived it was more than well done and dry.
I had also requested to swap the mashed potatoes for lemon potatoes, which was forgotten, so the mash came out with the lemon potatoes. The mashed potatoes themselves were very lumpy, under-seasoned, and unfortunately a bit dry.
My wife ordered the halibut and shrimp in a white wine sauce. Unfortunately, the fish tasted noticeably fishy and not particularly fresh, and the shrimp had a similar lack of freshness.
Had the affogato for dessert and again it was fine. A bit portion with ice cream and cream with a shot of espresso and biscuit crumbs. Sometime keeping it simple is best and this was a dish trying too hard.
To be clear, it wasn’t a total nightmare. The food was passable and generally average rather than poor. If anything, the decor, ambiance, and nice plating set expectations higher than what the food delivered.
I’m not sure I would rush back. If I did return, I’d probably stick to the pastas, which seem like they might be a safer choice.
We were shown our table and the servers quickly brought out these amazing garlic knots and butter. We snacked on these as we decided on what to get. We ordered the calamari for the appetizer, which were crunchy and well-seasoned. I was tempted to order more but after seeing how big the entrees were, we decided to hold off.
For my entrees, I went the Penne Alla Vodka with the shrimp. The vodka sauce and pasta was absolutely delicious and shrimp were large and juicy. You can’t go wrong with this. My mom ordered the lasagna and my aunt went with the chicken Teresa (not pictured). Both of these were amazing as well. The portion sizes were pretty large on all entrees so the waiters boxed our leftovers for us. These were enjoyed 2 nights later, tasting exactly like it did at Banchetto. We didn’t have much room left after the entrees, so we went with a single order of the tiramisu – the perfect dessert to round out our meal.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Banchetto and definitely will be back. The food was delicious, the servers were efficient and knowledgeable on the menu, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to stop in again, maybe for dinner next.
