Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had at a Jason’s Deli.
From the moment we arrived, one of the “managers,” Abril, made it clear she did not want to help my family. She pushed us off onto another employee and walked away, then spent the rest of our visit staring at us as if we were doing something wrong. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional.
The final straw was being told we couldn’t take gingerbread from the salad bar—even though we paid for a side salad, which comes with a dish to get items from the bar. No signage. No explanation. Just an abrupt refusal.
Being treated with hostility and denied food we paid for is unacceptable. If this is how management behaves, it explains everything. Save your money and go somewhere you’re actually welcome.

Another great Jason’s deli to eat at! The service is excellent, workers were polite and friendly. The food was good and as ordered! Restaurant was clean and well stocked. If in the area, we will stop by again.

I had not been to Jason’s Deli in some time, and it was way before I started doing reviews. Anyway, I took the family to eat at the one located on North Second Street and just a half block north of Nolana. Jason’s menu offers a good selection of sandwiches,
soups, and pastas. There is a salad bar option available with plenty of combinations available that you can create. Behind the salad bar is the drink dispensers with good choices here as well. Also, there is an ice cream machine and cones located at the end of the line that are complementary. So today, I ordered the muffalitta and a cup of gumbo. My son ordered the Club Royal and a brownie for his ice cream. My wife ordered the Turkey croissant and a cup of lobster bisque. You order and pay, and then they bring your food to you, and our food arrived pretty fast. I was disappointed in my sandwich because it had hardly any olive tapinade that I really enjoyed the last time I went. My son really liked his sandwich of Turkey, Ham, Bacon, lettuce, and tomato. My wife loved hers but didn’t like the bisque. She said it was the flavor, I tasted it, all I tasted was the base that used. Jason’s is a go-to spot for a quick hunger fix. There is plenty to choose from and not feel guilty, plus there is free ice cream to finish off the pangs.

It was 8:18am and the doors were still locked. Opening time posted outside says 8am as does their website. I had placed an online order for breakfast a sandwhich to pickup. I called the phone number on the door and the girl answers with attitude and comes to unlock the door. She then says you’re going to have to wait I still need to make the sandwich. You all have been open for about 20 minutes what have you been doing that the doors are not even unlocked at your opening time? Terrible service. I will be making a report with the General Manager as well.

Happy St Patrick’s day! Jason’s deli is the right place to go for your Ruben sandwich in McAllen TX. They pile on the meat high too. LOVED IT! I got a one trip salad bar, so many choices! So FRESH too. And to be on top of the holiday spirit, Green (colored) vanilla ice cream today!! And the service was great and everyone pleasant and super helpful.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Clean. Had salad bar. Everything super fresh. Love their new addition of pita crisps..and I think tzatiki sauce. They also have lemon poppy mini muffins. Wait staff comes around often to check on you. Nice touch. Staff cleans tables as soon as customers leave.

unfortunately this location on N. 2nd St is a hit or miss. Today is a Miss. Arrived at home & OMG my $3.19 Mac & cheese looks like someone’s leftovers.
