Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service! Their sausage pizza is the most delicious and definitely my family’s favorite! We’ve ordered delivery and also eaten in the restaurant, either way, always a great dining experience!

By the way I had to give it one star because that was the least I can give it if I had a choice I wouldn’t have even gave it that. This place for pizza I’ll tell you sucks. I’d rather have a Totino’s Yes you heard me a Totino’s pizza over their thin crust pizza. I ordered one today through doordash and oh my god when I grabbed the box it felt as light as a feather and it was a medium Pizza! Please people I really recommend you not going there for their Pizza not ordering their Pizza maybe just go in there and tying one on. Maybe their beers are better than their food, but I’ll tell you this …it’s really hard to screw up a pizza! If their Pizza is as bad as the one I got today how could anything else on the menu be any better. How could this place even say they’re a pizzeria pub? I would just say pub. Do yourself a favor don’t go there for the food. I’ll never go there again. I’ll never order there again and I won’t even patronize they’re establishment. Oh by the way, Tony’s hasTotino’s pizzas on sale for $1.99 not the 18.99 for Village Pizza and believe me Totino’s is a better value and better tasting. Tell me, who likes pizza sauce and cheese on a cracker that tasted like it came out of a can?

My husband and I attended the Atomic Bingo at Village Inn pizzeria last night. The bingo game was fun! The service that we received from Axel was excellent. The bar has a cool, welcoming neighborhood vibe but the pizza is horrible! I’d read negative reviews about the thin crust pizza so we ordered a large, thick crust, veggie pizza with half sausage. I love all types of pizza but this was the only time that I would rather see the leftovers go into the trash than go home with me. My husband asked for it to be boxed but it is going into the trash! My hubby thought we could doctor it up, but i don’t think it is possible. The crust was too heavy and doughy. The sauce was flat and flavorless like they just used tomato sauce out of a can. The cheese and toppings were scant. I’m so sorry to be blunt but this community hub deserves better. I believe Villiage Inn can do better. Please, please consider a pizza revamp! I’ve had better pizza at Chuck E Cheese! I’d like to go back for a beer but I can’t believe I’m saying this but I would avoid Village Inn Pizza at all cost.

What a fun place for relaxing on a Friday night. No cooking and doing dishes and being served good old comfort food like wings, pizza, chicken parmigiana, and chili by a sweet and easy going waitress. A zillion flat screen TVs to watch sports from, a bar that’s bustling on a Friday night with no empty seats and regulars, and a clean bathroom! That’s a nice touch to a local neighborhood bar restaurant to have a clean bathroom…people seem wholesome here…just nice good and down to earth. The pizza was The original reason why we were drawn here because New York City pizza is the best pizza in my Opinion… So it’s hard to beat that along with chewy fluffy crust. Pizza is made to your liking … you can make it as thin as you would like, it’s a really fun feature. Ofc I asked for super super paper thin and it was good. The only problem is that due to the hard water in Chicago, the cross taste like crispy crackers which Some people will enjoy … just not me. The huge $20 chicken parmigiana came out piping hot and the sphagetti had amazing chunky tomato sauce and good crispy garlic bread. I wish you could eat a half portion because it’s way too much food for one person and you don’t always want to take it home because it doesn’t taste as good reheated. Overall would come back bc it’s a good sit down joint and parking is free on the street after 6pm on a weeknight.

okay first off I would like to order a pizza exactly like what was given to Catherine Balistreri’s bad review with too much garlic on it. I think I would LOVE that!
okay but seriously, this is a nice place it’s been around forever. I love the old neon sign, I wish I knew how old it was.
my family knew the previous owner. you can order single slices to go, but may I suggest if you’re in the mood, go ahead and order a whole pizza. a slice of cheese was less than 3.50 I think and a whole pizza is about 16? I forget. it is so much better when it’s fresh and comes right out of the oven.
anyways we came here on a whim I just felt like having pizza today. the staff was wonderful and helpful and friendly like always. I probably would have ordered dessert if I found a menu but we were so busy talking about the pizza with each other that I forgot. Our group of four just ordered two slices, it smelled so good to our visiting family who just wanted to see the place, I had to go back in and buy the rest of our group slices also.
we just had cheese pizza. I ordered their largest pizza before with all kinds of toppings and it was marvelous. there’s all kinds of activities going on here like a magician on Wednesdays and karaoke on Sunday nights and there are televisions everywhere. it’s really a true sports bar as well. everything was nice and clean, even the outside. we visited on a late Sunday afternoon and nobody was sitting outside so we just took a table with our carryouts and Saturday and nobody asked us to leave or anything which was nice. I haven’t had pizza probably in months and this was a real treat for me. I should come back more often.

Really good pizza, nachos, entertainment, and service. We love the thin crust-square cut-giardiniera-ground beef-pizza. No pics of the actual nachos because we ate them all and ordered a large pizza to take half to go for tomorrow lol.

September 17th on Wednesday at around 7.20 pm

We were there today evening with my husband and daughter.
We usually like to sit outside at the patio. There were no waiters outside and I went inside and let them know that we were there waiting for service.
Waited around 5 minutes, somebody came and told us that another person was going to come. After 4-5 minutes, a different person came and brought the menu. The menu was weird because they only showed the wine and beer, and not the entire menu. We had to manually search for whatever food could be on the menu.
Not welcoming almostphere, there wasn’t any dedicated waiters available. Anyway, I gave my order quickly and the lady brought 3 glasses with plates only. She didnt seem to care much and set the table half-assed. She didn’t wipe down the table either, she put glasses upside down the table. The service for today wasn’t very hygienic.
There were no straws left on table..she was in rush, left us, and we waited for the food for a long time. We ordered calamari and she didn’t bring any utensils to the table, she brought just 3 glasses and plates only.
After then, I saw another person and asked for straws. He brought to us. My daughter started to eat calamari with hands because she was hungry. For a while later, I saw another person and asked for forks. Seems like nobody is in charge of the patio area despite people sitting there outside. They dont follow up with you at all either.
Finally, after 40 minutes, we got pizza…
No one asked us if we need anything else.. we ate and I was looking for someone to get a bill. Another boy was around and I asked if someone bring our bill. He came after a while and he brought me just a receipt on his hand. I was surprised not to having the bill in booklet. Then he took my credit card and was lost again. After 7-8 minutes, he came back with my card….
Very poor and unsatisfied service…
Only the food was good other than nothing was welcoming…

Visiting Chicago in Nov’ 23 and stopped by Village Inn in Skokie, near Chicago.

Came here with family who in this case was cousin. You can see in pictured photo if curiosity bites. But if not then that is OK as well.

Essentially I dug the vibes of VI more than its food/drinks. Very cool atmospheric remote and low key vibe, like village-bar-town vibes which was pretty outta this world. Nice and cozy and great bar to hunker down in the cold of early winter this close to Chicago, IL — I think it was mid 40s but very windy out, nice to be inside on an evening like that.

So run down of what we had, some drinks, beer, dark lager, whatnot, all above 8% BAC so I got decently hammered early on. Chicken quesadilla with guacamole and tomatoes and that was pretty spot on. Wasn’t too hungry so we just had some apps/starters and drinks.

Like I said I got pretty drunk and this was a bare necessity at the time, so VI was satisfactory given the aim was to get sufficiently hammered enough at close to midnight on a Friday windy winter night.

So for atmosphere and ability to get as wasted as I wanted to without a care in the world really, I’ll rate up for being able to scratch that itch or whatever. Nice village bar vibes, yo. I might be back hopefully once again the future, who the heck really knows.

Village Inn is a great family owned restaurant. The food is terrific! My absolute favorite thin crust cheese, hands down. The staff is friendly and it’s a great place to catch a game or meet up with friends. Highly recommend!!

Friendly and attentive customer service, food portions were bigger than expected and very delicious. Biggest best burger I’ve had in a long long time! Loved how I could customize it! Fresh pickles made it better! Loved our server! She was handling everyone so well and appeared to be the only server/bartender on the floor. Variety of seating available for all kinds of groups. Pizza pickup and ordering in the front is super convenient. Love that they have tons of outside seating as well. Some diagonal parking nearby makes parking a snap!
