Reviews
Unfortunately, the food disappointed, and we usually love Hoss’s. The salad bar was dirty, the soups and hot sides were all dried up, the garlic bread was cold, and the apple sauce was fermented/turned. The coleslaw was brown and bland. We went on a quiet week night, so being busy was not the problem, but more of a “saving money” issue by not pitching old food and allowing it to sit out a long time.
My spouse’s steak was ok, but my medium tips were burnt, hard and crunchy. The server barely offered any apology and did not offer any kind of substitute or restitution, although she was cheerful. Probably because we mentioned the problems in a kind way & did not make a fuss.
The guy at the front, the host, was really nice.
The almost $40 tab was way too much for the food we received.
I do NOT like to review negatively. When I do, it is constructive and hopeful that the business will see the review and change for the better…. Otherwise people like us will not return.
Hoss’s: Pitch old food, stop being miserly, check on the salad bar often, and have diligence all around.
Stopped at Hoss’s.
The waitress was fine. Many of the workers stood around doing nothing but chatting.
The food was so dried up and many things had a dried up coating on it. It was literally gross. I told the manager but he said ok bye and Merry Christmas!
He was a goof and he needs to make his workers take care of the food that people are eating. I tried the ice cream and it tasted like a chemical. I looked at the banana pudding and it was so dried up it was not edible. They had different things for nacho chips. The cheese had a dried layer with dried up pieces in it. Two other containers had stuff in it that you could not even make out what it was. I had enough and was ready to go. So sad!
We use to always go there on the way home from a Pitt visit but never again.
That is laziness of your jobs and jeopardizing people’s well being.
