Social Profile:

Many years ago, two determined Cubanos embarked on a daring journey from Cuba, setting sail on a makeshift raft crafted from a ladder and four inner tubes. Accompanied by a packet of biscuits, a gallon of water, and their beloved pet pig named Benni, they braved the open sea. Rescued by the American Coast Guard near Key West, they were brought to Miami, where they received a warm welcome and a Coca Cola. Despite their hardships, they forged ahead, fueled by dreams and a deep love for their homeland’s flavors.

Rarely do I give a 5 star review on my fist visit to a restaurant but this is by far some of the best Cuban food I have ever had. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were being welcomed into the owner’s home rather than a restaurant. The owner was actually sitting and eating while we were there and took the time to come over, introduce himself, and offer us some complimentary items to try. Every thing we ate was absolutely amazing — rich flavors, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love.

The restaurant is filled with beautiful Cuban memorabilia, and you can tell they pay incredible attention to detail in the décor. Every corner feels intentional and full of history, which makes the experience feel warm, personal, and authentic.

Not only was the owner wonderful, but his entire family was warm, kind, and genuinely happy to have us there. It is truly a family owned and rubbed business. You don’t feel like just another customer — you feel like a guest in their home. As if the amazing food wasn’t enough they also have an outdoor area with live music.

We were so impressed we talked about it all the way home. If you want authentic Cuban food with heart, hospitality, and soul, this place is a must. We will absolutely be back. This place is not a restaurant it’s an experience!

Saw this place online, we were in the area and decided to give them a try…WOW, wow wow. Awesome service, everyone very friendly, food was GREAT, atmosphere very entertaining..well there was nothing I wasn’t pleased with. They were surprised that we came about 2hrs away (from naples). But everytime we are in the area you can bet we will stop by and I highly recommend people to go check them out!!

Jama Benn Jama instantly reminded me of home. From the moment I walked in, the place had that cozy, lively Cuban vibe — salsa in the background, the smell of garlic and mojo in the air. The staff were friendly and quick, making sure everything came out fresh and hot.

I tried the ropa vieja and tostones, and both were spot-on — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The black beans and rice tasted just like abuela used to make. I paired it with a mango mojito, which was refreshing without being too sweet. For dessert, the flan was creamy and smooth, easily one of the best I’ve had in Miami.

You can tell they care about every detail, from presentation to seasoning. Whether you’re Cuban or just love good Latin comfort food, this spot is a must-visit.

What a cool experience to eat here! The owners are so friendly and the stories of them are amazingly interesting. The atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant are one of a kind. Remember to ask about their stories and go check out the cigar bus! Food is delicious and portions are very generous. Would definitely come again!

Very kind and attentive owner, even offered us a cigar. It’s very beautiful to see how passionate he is for his vision and can’t wait to see what else he has in store for the future. Un ambiente espectacular.

Welcome to a wonderland of art, adventure, and good food. This place is full of amazing art and fun things for all ages. The food was okay but you can tell it was cooked with lots of love. The sister owners were super friendly and gave us excellent service. This place is so big and has options for seating. You can sit inside or outside under the shade or in their back area. The restaurant has an eclectic atmosphere with quotes and sayings that show the owner’s sense of humor. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you try this local spot from Miami locals. We had a plate of croquetas, and a Cuban sandwich with fries. Will definitely return to this wonderful family owned establishment.

Super cool and unique spot. If you’re Cuban, this place hits home!! Although it looks like a food truck from the outside, there’s really so much to look at and enjoy. Very lighthearted decor that is sure to make you laugh. They also have live music and the food snd service are great!

My family and I recently visited JAMA Benn Jamma, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We came as a large group of 20 people, including children, and were seated right away with no wait at all, which already set the tone for a great night.
From the moment we walked in, the full Cuban theme instantly caught my attention. Seeing the TV playing classic shows like “¿Qué Pasa, USA?” brought an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. Growing up in Hialeah, South Florida, Cuban food, music, culture, and energy are home to me — and this place truly made me feel like I was back there. Warm, lively, welcoming, and full of soul.
The menu was huge, with so many exciting options to choose from. The owner personally greeted us, which was such a heartfelt touch. There was live music, which made the night even better. After we ate, the adults were dancing and enjoying themselves while the kids had a blast playing with the domino tables outside. It felt like a true family gathering rather than just dinner.
The servers were incredibly attentive, sweet, and kind, making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel comfortable and at home the entire time.
I highly recommend Jama Benn Jamma to anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and amazing music. This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to — and becoming regulars at!

The restaurant is clean and such a cool setup, but the kitchen staff needs to do better. We arrived to a pretty empty dining room, but apparently they had a large party outside. The waitress was apologetic, but no one wants to wait an hour for an appetizer. The chicharrones were perfectly crisp and juicy. After another 15/20 minutes my sandwhich arrived. The fries were soggy and the onions weren’t completely cooked. After such a long wait I was disappointed. Cool place but not sure the social media hype is warranted.

Great place to experience a taste of Cuban food, music, and the beautiful language. We started our meal with an outstanding appetizer of chicharons, sausage, and a sweet potato, and the plate was served with this super flavorful sauce; This is a must try. As for my actual dinner, I’m not a fan of black beans, but the rice and black beans were fantastic. The sweet potatoes were out of this world-hard to believe it was even a sweet potato. My entree was good, just not something I should have gotten – way too much food food for a light eater. Cuban dishes here could probably serve two of the average eating people. I would be eating on that single plate for 3 or 4 times before finishing it.
