Boarhog’s completely hit the spot. I stopped in while traveling and it turned into the lunch break I did not know I needed. The pulled pork and chicken were tender and flavorful, the hushpuppies were crispy, and even the sides like potato salad and vinegar slaw tasted fresh and on-point. Portions are great for the price, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
Service was just as good as the food. My order came out fast, everyone was friendly, and the place has a relaxed, come-as-you-are vibe. Prices are very reasonable for how much food you get. If I lived anywhere near here, I would be here at least once a week. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or looking for a regular bbq spot.

This spot truly delivers on flavor and quality. The fried items had a perfect crunch, while the meats were cooked to perfection and full of moisture. The fried squash was a standout and portions were generous enough for sharing. The ribs were incredibly tender, the brisket was soft and rich, and the catfish was light with a wonderful texture. I would happily return for another great meal.

Loved this place. Classic barbecue joint with picnic table style and booth seating. Self serve fountain drink, plastic ware, to go boxes, and house made sauces station. They did get my order wrong but seemed glad to fix it immediately. Great staff that seemed to work well together and kept the place clean.
Everything was great, even the toast. The fried foods were crispy and the meats were juicy. I really enjoyed the fried squash, and there was plenty to share. Ribs fell off the bone, brisket was tender, and the catfish had a delicate flake. Would definitely come back again.

We were on a road trip looking for a good lunch place before the Space Center tour – reviews said Boarhog’s BBQ was THE PLACE – can confirm, it is amazing :). We were in there at lunch and it was busy on a Friday but we didn’t have a wait and were able to grab a booth. Brisket was delicious. Pinto beans were good. Fried Okra and Mushrooms all amazing. Overall 10/10. Great food!

Stopped here for lunch. The employees were super friendly, and the restaurant is cute….typical BBQ joint vibe. We both ordered the lunch special Rib Plate….It came with 3 ribs, 1 side and bread. We both chose cornbread, which was good, but slightly dry. A big slather of butter made it better. The sides were a little smaller than we are typically accustomed to. They were served in condiment cups. My hubby had the baked beans, and I had the potato salad. Both were decent. We also ordered a side order of fries. The ribs were meaty, but a little greasy for me. They had a vinegary taste….but I guess that is standard for Alabama BBQ. The two BBQ sauces were both too vinegary for us, but the white sauce was pretty good. If we come back again, I think we would try one of their sandwiches. I saw pics of one online, and they looked really good.

This was our first visit. We went for lunch about 10:45 and there was not a wait. There were many great options to choose from.
We ordered the bricket potato (FANTASTIC!) And the 4rib plate with 2 sides (Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans) which i think the sides lacked a bit. The portions were very small and my mac and cheese was very watery and lacked flavor. My ribs though, were great! As well as the Brisket potato! The potato was loaded with so much meat! Would definitely order again!

First time at the new location. Classic BBQ joint vibe. Clean. Busy but plenty of seating. Fast and friendly service. The BBQ was amazing. I really enjoyed the sauses too. Mostly the vinegar based ones. The onion rings were perfect. They stayed together which is hard to find.

This is the Burger Man with Best Burgers in America Association, and I was invited to score a burger for their restaurant. It scored really high. Fresh hand patted out patty and grilled to perfection. Fresh toppings and seasoned well. Great customer service. If you love BBQ and Burgers, I recommend this restaurant.

I ordered online but I feel I waited just as long as ordering in person. I love this place but today I was truly disappointed. I placed an online order around 11:30 am. It said my food would be ready for pickup at 11:40 am I got there at 11:50 am and checked out at 11:52 am. They called my name to the back to see if my order was ready and no one had started my order or even knew about it. 12:00 pm hit so I walked up front and I said I ordered my food around 11:30 online and I am still waiting for it. They misinterpreted what I said and yelled back she’s been waiting for 30 minutes. Another employee walked up and asked the cashier if I had been waiting for 30 minutes and she said no she hasn’t. Which was not what I said. It was hard to hear in there so I’m sure she misunderstood me. Then the employee who asked if I had been waiting that long was also very unkind to the employee who was only trying to helping me locate my order. It upset me truly she was just trying to help me. The food was great as always.
