It’s a cool place.just don’t go at noon.packed.but the brisket is pretty good.not dry.would have pics but didn’t have time.around $10 for a chopped beef sandwich but these days isn’t that the norm? A few sides.Beans,baked beans,mack and cheese and desserts.Overall not a bad place.There’s also a Sonic in the same building inside of a large gas station.I mean it’s worth the value.People there are super friendly.A Texas feel.Plenty of souvenirs for travelers.Check it out if ever in Midlothian.Its worth the time.Peace!

We were at the carwash across the way so decided to give it a try. Look at the size of this potato.. can’t beat the price as I got 2 meals for it! I’m not one for sweets but can’t turn away from peach cobbler but it was pretty doughie. I prefer more fruit in my cobbler. Great local BBQ.

This is the best gas station BBQ you’ll ever eat! Really nice setup in a large building with a shop, Sonic, snacks, & BBQ.
Super great customer service at the restaurant area. Asked if we wanted to try anything before we ordered? Large selection of delicious looking sides.

Haven’t had a chance to eat there, we only stopped to get gas and use the restrooms, but let me tell you – those are the prettiest restrooms I have seen and I encourage everyone to stop by and go there. Everything is clean, the staff is friendly. The store has a great variety of goods, eg. a wide selection of jerky. Will be back for that brisket for sure!

I grabbed lunch here on 3/6 on my way through town. There was no line at around 1:20pm. The staff warmly welcomed me, and answered all of my questions. I ordered a loaded barrel, which is a loaded baked potato with my choice of meat. I chose pulled pork. It was the right choice. For $13, I was stuffed and it came with a drink. Perfectly cooked potato, and delicious pulled pork. I also chose the spicy barbecue sauce, which actually had a bit of a kick to it. Overall great experience! And the staff was constantly cleaning in between customers. This location was very clean. I will return on my way back through town for sure!

Went in around 9:00 pm. No one was at the counter to take orders Asked a different employee to get someone. He rang bell which we didn’t see. Two teenagers came out from the back and seemed befuddled that there were customers wanting to order. They proceeded to empty a trash can from under the serving trays of food. Our thought was that they would then take our order and dish up food without washing their hands. We turned away. Bad experience. Instead, we went to the adjacent Sonic restaurant where we were served properly.
