More of a pub/bar vibe, rather than a restaurant. Lots of 20 somethings there; not many older folk. Food was ok, but a really cool location and super popular.

A busy, bustling Irish pub in the heart of downtown Philly. Not at all a bad spot, fun and cheery. The service is good thought it’s busy and noisy. A fun stop

Very casual place. The drinks are amazing, and the food? This place could be just a restaurant and do perfectly fine for how good the food is. Fish and chips? Excellent. Burger? Melt in your mouth good (according to the friend who ordered it). French onion soup? Delicious. Fried calamari? Crispy and wonderful.

If you’re hungry and want some good drinks with a casually friendly vibe, this is your best bet.

Had a draft beer here which was great. Ambiance was lively. However, bartender was completely overwhelmed in between serving and charging for drinks. She needed help!

I rented the basement of The Black Sheep for my husband’s birthday party a couple months back, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The prices were really reasonable; the staff members were professional and friendly and responsive; the food and drinks were solid; the music was fun; and our guests had a wonderful time. The place has an awesome relaxed and classic vibe, and they have seen everything so nothing spooks them in the slightest! If we ever want to throw another party in the area, we know where to call first—check ‘em out, you’ll be so glad you did!

I loved it here. This was the second time I’ve been there, the first time alone. Chiara was so sweet. The food was delicious. I had the shepherd’s pie. They brought out HP sauce to go with it. I tried a bit and it was so good, but I ate the shepherd’s pie mostly on its own without the sauce. Be careful when you go on and leave- there are steps leading in and out of the restaurant. Great experience overall! If you’re looking fit a great Irish Pub in Philly, check them out.

The best place for Manchester United fans! They serve amazing Guinness and also offer branch and dinner options.

An Irish pub that takes no small measure of pride in serving Philadelphians, mostly the locals and they have a number of beers on tap upstairs and downstairs. It can get pretty crowded on either space. Very noisy as you would expect for a pub. Lots of TVs and not a lot of moving room, just watch your step down the stairs.
