The first time was highly recommended by some friends and they were correct. We came as a group of 14 and the staff arranged us to sit upstairs in a private room with a big table. We requested for the karaoke which they quickly accommodated us to another private room downstairs. We ordered a range of dishes from fresh seafood, to vegetables, to meat dishes like pork and beef. Food came at a reasonable time. Generous portion! Delicious home-cooked authentic and traditional Chinese food. Service was above and beyond.
Visited again introducing our Polish friends to this restaurant. Ordered some of the dishes we had from the first visit such as fresh fish, deep fried tofu, and braised pork belly. Again, we were served big portion-sized scrumptious Chinese food. We all enjoyed the meal.
Definitely would visit again soon. Worth the 8-mile drive here!
Pricing seemed reasonable considering the quality of the food.
Will look forward to returning to try some more items from the menu.

Although ubiquitous East of the subcontinent, it’s amazing that Greater Manchester has survived for so long without. While Randall & Aubin, the oyster catcher and other good speciality restaurants offer up decent fair at a premium, they are trumped (no presidential pun intended) by the breath of this restaurant’s offerings.
The decor is strictly utilitarian and in these times, the segregation provided by individual rooms means that you can relax in safe surroundings as you gorge on frutas de Mer in the same way as the Walrus and Carpenter.
The seafood soup with winter melon was sublime. The brown crab in ginger and garlic was succulent and to my mind, far superior to the subtle flavours of lobster with glass noodles.
The slight blemish had to be the scallops with black bean as the underlying scallops were overwhelmed by the flavouring.
Live seafood as the name suggests is really the only way to go. Ignore the lack of salubrious surroundings. Accept no substitutes.
