They were out of Haneeth so had to order Khabsa it was delicious. Also ordered Fatha for dessert. The only thing is they need to upgrade the decor. The ceiling had mold spot its a very small place. They do also have a traditional eating area where you sit on the floor but dont have a place to put your shoes at. The red lights kind a looks tacky. But over all food is 5 star.

I’ve visited Saba many times and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
The food is consistently delicious; the lamb Mandi and Haneeth are incredibly tender and cooked to perfection every time. For dessert, the Baklava and Basbousa are a must-try, especially when paired with their aromatic Shai Adeni!
The service is top-tier and the team is always welcoming. A special shout-out to Suliman – he is fantastic and makes our visit great.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Adam , for hosting us in this distinguished and wonderful Yemeni restaurant. “
It was a hospitality that exceeded expectations.” “This restaurant was the best Yemeni restaurant I have ever visited in my life.” “Indeed, it is better than the Yemeni kitchens in the Arab world.” “Thanks from the heart to the professional chef (Taha) . Thank you for your professionalism in your cooking, your high taste, and your spirit that we found in your dishes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“5 full stars to you, and if I had more, I would have given them to you.” Because you deserve it and with merit.
Thank you to all the staff. Thank you for your hospitality.”

Terrible. We had a terrible experience. We didn’t even get greeted when we walked in. Everyone seemed to be in a bad mood. The place was so hot. The AC was not even turned on when we walked in. The moment a group of what appeared to be friends of the owner arrived, they immediately catered to them and proceeded to turn on the air conditioner. The food had no flavor whatsoever. The waitress had an attitude and never came once to check on us once the food was served. We ordered two teas to drink with our meals and they forgot but still tried to charge us for them. Super disappointed and do not recommend

Saba Restaurant in Fairfax is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Yemeni cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
A special thank you to Dalia for her professionalism and dedication—she provided impeccable service, ensuring that our food arrived promptly while greeting us with a radiant smile. Her excellent recommendations elevated our meal, making the experience even more memorable.
The authenticity of the food speaks for itself. Every dish bursts with rich flavors and unmistakable freshness. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned masterfully. The liver dish was beyond expectations, delivering depth of taste that truly impressed.
For those seeking traditional Yemeni flavors crafted with care and passion, Saba Restaurant is the place to be. Highly recommended!

In last one month, I had Saba three times. About 3.5 weeks ago, I was there with my family. We were 6 of us. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we realized the vibe was different. We didn’t see any of the previous employees who we have seen there for years. That day, we had the worst waitress. She had a damn care attitude. We asked her if the management changed. She said yes. Our food came and we were happy that at least the food didn’t change. Next, I catered from Saba about two weeks ago and the food was delicious. Last time I ordered Saba was yesterday and this time the food were different. I ordered haneeth and chicken mandi. The meat were good BUT they changed the way they used to make the rice. Now, the rice tastes bland. The rice has no flavor. It was disappointing. We want Saba to succeed. Couple of suggestions for the new owner/ manager: Don’t change the way Saba has been cooking their dishes. Second, have a better customer service. Thanks.

My partner and I stopped in for a quiet weeknight dinner, and the hospitality at Saba is truly second to none. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with such genuine warmth. The staff is so knowledgeable since it was our first time trying Yemeni food, our waiter took the time to explain the spices and recommended the Saltah, which was bubbling and delicious. Even though it was just the two of us, we never felt overlooked. The service was fast but never rushed, allowing us to actually enjoy the atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place that feels this authentic and welcoming at the same time. We’ll definitely be back!

Tried their Ramadan buffet. It was amazing. There were so many food to try. I didn’t know all the names but it was delicious. They were serving tea and qahwa. Everyone was nice and kind. I will recommend creating reservation though it gets packed. Ramadan Kareem

We love their food, especially lamb haneeth and fish qulaba, and of course the ma’soob! The meat is always fresh and well-marinated, melting in your mouth. Ma’soob is moderately sweet and very flavorful.
If you’re calling to make a to-go order, it may not be ready when you’re arriving though. So the best plan would be to come in and wait for the food to be cooked. We’ve been there multiple times and the wait worth it for us.
There is also an elevated sitting floor area that is nice for gathering with kids who are always on the move.
