Since 2006, Jimmy Wan’s is where Pittsburgh families gather, celebrate, and eat really well. We are a family-owned restaurant built on recipes passed down through generations. We bring bold flavors and thoughtful hospitality to every table because that is how we would want to be treated, too. From wok-fired classics, fresh sushi rolls and cocktails worth lingering over, every dish reflects the care that comes from cooking for the people you love. We use locally sourced ingredients and traditional techniques, not because it is trendy, but because it is the way it has always been done in kitchens that care. Whether it is your first visit or your fiftieth, we are here to give you something worth coming back for.

I ordered through Uber Eats and was slightly disappointed considering all of the hype I’ve heard about their food.
Ordered their sautéed sesame chicken, eight treasure fried rice, and wonton soup. The positives: portions are substantial, they don’t skimp on their protein inclusions in their fried rice, and the food was cooked well and a good temperature when I received it. The negatives: nothing had flavor. I understand the eight treasure rice is made with no soy sauce, or Hong Kong street style as I’ve been taught in previous Asian restaurants I’ve worked in, but there was little to no seasoning, at most maybe garlic powder or fresh garlic? Same for the sesame chicken. The sauce was very watery, and just lacked flavor. I was expecting sweet and tangy, but there was neither. And again no seasoning.
The soup was hot, broth had a nice flavor, but the wontons were overcooked and mushy, the wonton wrapper turned to melted mush in my mouth and the filling fell out of them into the broth.
Maybe dining in I’ll have a better experience if I ever have the opportunity, however I’ve had much better Asian food for far less money.
