Usually would give a 5 star because we’ve loved coming here the last few years but the last couple of visits the food hasn’t been as great. They must have a new chef. The penne à la vodka was historically my families favorite but recently it has been lack luster and had little to no flavor. The shrimp used to have nice seasoning but the last time I ordered it literally had no seasoning. Very sad

We had an amazing experience tonight! The food and service were excellent. Fresh ingredients and the pizza and pasta dishes were on point. Some of the best calamari I have ever had. I highly recommend.

My husband went in to pick up an order that was placed and paid for online. My husband was looked at as if he was in the wrong place and rushed out as if he didn’t belong. He wasn’t asked if he was dining in or picking up. I’m assuming because he didn’t “look” like what or who should dine there. We were looking to patronize a neighborhood business and hopefully try a good pizza. The experience was subpar and so was the pizza. I begged him to return it but as he stated we paid for an experience to share with our neighbors, family and friends. If there were negative stars I would have selected those.

I’ve been eating here for years and this place has the best Alfredo in Hampton Roads! The vodka sauce is always a good choice and the pizza is incredible. Slaps every time!

INSANE PRICE for what it was, I paid $95 total. We got Chicken parmigiana and Ala penne vodka. Added shrimp that cost additional $9 for 5pcs of shrimp. A side of broccoli was $8. A single 6oz cabernet was $10. We wanted to try someplace new instead of going to Vinos like we normally do, but unfortunately we won’t be back. Food was average at best. Portion sizes were disappointing. When we got the bill we were literally speechless because we couldn’t believe how expensive the meal was. You’re talking almost $100 for two average meals at an average establishment at best. I cannot recommend avoiding this restaurant enough. What a huge waste of time and money. I have so much regret. We won’t be back.

Food…great, even when reheated.
Service very good
But I got knocked in the head over that bill…I can’t count cuz everything was reasonable upon review. And they don’t give bread complimentarily. But I’m very happy about the experience.

Not sure what recipe they’re using for Penne A La Vodka but we received a soup with floating pre-boiled noodles and chicken breast that tasted like it was from a package. Pizza was very okay. Service was good. I wouldn’t recommend and not sure why this place has so many great reviews.

— Good pizza, really bad service.
We came out or way after hearing some positive things about the pizza here, been searching for a new favorite since Bella Signorreli closed. : (
The pizza was excellent, and the charcuterie board was quite good as well. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was VERY disappointing.
The restaurant’s posted hours extend until 9:30 PM, we arrived at 8:00 PM and were immediately asked if we were certain we wanted to dine in. From the moment we were seated, the experience felt rushed. At 9 PM music was turned off, chairs were being loudly shuffled near us for no reason. For what was intended to be a Friday evening outing, the atmosphere was neither relaxed nor welcoming.
In most restaurants, guests arriving before closing can reasonably expect to enjoy their meal without feeling pressured to leave. DEFINITELY will not return, Instead, we will try Vino across the street and see what that’s like.
For comparison, Honey and the Hooch offered a far more gracious experience welcoming us warmly at 9:30 pm even near closing time (11 PM) and encouraging us to stay when we asked if they were closing saying they’d be open until the last customer left. Bella Signorreli also had that sense of hospitality the owner would talk to us personally, sometimes even sitting down and enjoying a glass of wine after hours while we finished our food. That warmth and connection created a memorable dining experience something we had hoped to find again but, unfortunately not here
Great pizza though check it out at least once for that.

Food was delicious! Had the Penne ala Vodka w/chicken, Chicken Alfredo, and White Pizza w/basil. The garlic bread was very crisp and warm too! Our server was on top of things, getting our food and drinks to us super quick.

Excellent service and food. Very attentive staff but not annoying. Absolutely love this restaurant! High quality staff, high quality food! The pizza is the best in Chesapeake, and for stone oven pizza style this is probably the best in the 757. I’ve had some of their pizzas, pastas, and their garlic bread so far on different orders and we have been very pleased every time. The pasta dishes give you your money’s worth. The quality has been consistent over several visits and never left unsatisfied or hungry
