This place is busy for a reason, so there was a short wait. It was a great idea to mix and match Bennie’s (eggs Benedict choices) so I was able to try two of the 8 choices. I didn’t order but if you can’t decide between shrimp and grits and an eggs Benedict, they got ya! There’s a shrimp and grits Benedict! I ordered the pulled pork Benedict and the crab cake Benedict. Tbh the crab cake was a bit fishy and the fried green tomato was hard. The Cajun hollandaise sauce was terrific. The pulled pork was very tasty, actually wish it had more on it. The service was great, as was the whimsical vibe inside. I definitely recommend it and will try another Benedict combo. The BLT was good, and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Also the Bloody Mary was very good.

Best Breakfast in Louisiana! Liz was so sweet and the staff were great. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by everyone with a smile. The food was excellent and surprisingly cheap. The atmosphere was full of love and warmth. Liz even gave us some merch for the road.

My dad and I stopped in for breakfast and loved this little gem! The place is bright, cheerful, and welcoming with great service. We had the biscuits with white peppered gravy and scrambled eggs—delicious! The gravy was a bit thick for me, but still very tasty, and the Community Coffee was perfect. Can’t wait to come back and try lunch!

My wife and I decided to stop here to check out this diner and we definitely were not disappointed! The atmosphere here was totally amazing, the staff were second to none, and Donna and Chanel delivered with absolute perfection. I’ve traveled far and wide and have eaten at many places but this by far is one of the best. Definitely a hidden gem. Food was fresh, tasty and accurately described. 10/10…keep up the great work ladies!

I ordered Liz’s Goolosh with cheese grits, eggs over medium, and added the blackened shrimp — absolutely amazing. The eggs were cooked just right, the cheese grits were creamy and full of flavor, and the shrimp brought just the right spice to balance it all out. The roast beef debris and gravy tied everything together into one of the best breakfast plates I’ve had in a long time. If you’re at Liz’s in Mandeville, this is the way to order it.

In town for a wedding and we loved it so much we came back the next day! From the moment you walk in the door to Liz herself coming to check on you this spot was so warm and welcoming, truly amazing service. The food came out fast and amazing. The pancake was the best i have ever had, thick and fluffy with a buttery crunch to the outside absolute perfection. Everything else was great eggs, bacon, biscuits, delicious!!!

Liz’s is one of those rare places that truly does it all, and does it exceptionally well.
We’ve been longtime customers for family breakfasts and brunches, and more recently have been using Liz’s to cater our quarterly business breakfasts. Every single experience has been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and crowd-pleasing, but what truly sets Liz’s apart is their team.
The level of service we receive is second to none. Melissa, who handles our catering orders, goes above and beyond every single time. She is organized, responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything is perfect. From communication to execution, she makes the entire process seamless and stress-free.. something that is incredibly rare these days.
It’s not often you find a restaurant where the food is excellent and the people care this deeply about their customers. Liz’s has earned our trust for both our family moments and our professional events, and we couldn’t recommend them more.
If you’re looking for a place to support that truly values quality, service, and community, this is it. Go support them. You won’t regret it.

Stopped in mid-morning and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The staff was extremely welcoming—true Louisiana-friendly, family-style hospitality that instantly made me feel at home. I recently relocated to Virginia and was visiting my sister, and I couldn’t leave Louisiana without having banana foster pancakes. Liz Where Y’at did not disappoint! Everything was delicious, and the experience was unforgettable. I’ll be recommending this spot to all my friends and family and will definitely be back the next time I’m visiting home.

1st visit, breakfast on Sat 8/23/25: I want to bring everyone I know here. What a great experience! The Oreo Explosion French Toast was divine – very light and fluffy, not dense at all or sickeningly sweet, as one might expect from the name. As good as the food was, server Lauren is what REALLY knocked this out of the park for us. Attentive and friendly, had great input and comments, and provided absolutely top-notch service.
