In the heart of America’s culinary scene, Chef Gregory Zapantis played a pivotal role in showcasing the importance of Greek cuisine. His name is synonymous with upscale establishments that transformed Greek dining into an art form. With numerous accolades, he remains as passionate and humble as when he first entered Manhattan’s culinary world two decades ago. His greatest honor came in 2011 when the Hellenic Chef’s Club named him the first culinary ambassador to Greece in North America, recognizing his dedication to promoting Hellenic cuisine worldwide.

Ok….this doesn’t happen very often but I have to say it. Best reuben sandwich I have had in my life – and 11/10 because I just don’t know how you could make it better. Try it….not deli meat…..the meat looked like in-house or carefully sourced locally. Just excellent. And the parm truffle fries were a perfect accompaniment. Will be going back just for this.
The atmosphere was decent at first, but the fruit flies were everywhere — especially once our meals arrived, which was really unpleasant. Our waiter was a huge disappointment: extremely slow, inattentive, and often nowhere to be found.
My husband ordered a custom omelet that was supposed to come with potatoes, salad, and sourdough bread. His meal came out with my toddler’s French toast and crêpes, but missing the bread. I ordered eggs Benedict with pastrami, and it took over an hour to receive my food. When the plate finally arrived, the English muffin was completely burnt and the food had a sour taste. The salad on both our plates looked like it came from an old bag, with brown spots all over.
The food was mediocre at best, the service was unorganized, and the overall experience was disappointing. Definitely would not recommend — this place needs better staff and a more attentive chef.
If you are in the area and need a meal it’s fine, but I wouldn’t make it a destination for dinner!
