This Peruvian restaurant delivered a really strong experience overall. Service was good, and while the atmosphere was fairly average, the food more than made up for it. The chicken salad–stuffed avocado appetizer was good, though a little unusual in flavor and presentation. The main course was amazing — the white wine in the sauce really made the dish pop, and the meat was cooked well with a generous portion for the price. The highlight of the meal was their green sauce, which was absolutely delicious, and even the complimentary bread was good. Overall, an excellent experience that I’d happily return for

If you’re craving the most authentic and freshest Peruvian cuisine including ceviche and Lomo Saltado in the DMV, La Granja De Oro is the place to go.
It’s hard to believe I haven’t already written a review for this spot. La Granja De Oro, or Granja, as I’ve come to call it has been a family favorite and staple in our eating out experience since my husband and I started dating back in 2000!
It was Granja who even catered our oldest son’s high school graduation party! But better later than never!
The menu is huge and I have no doubt everything here is flavorful and fresh, but when you have your favorites you tend stick with them.
We started with the Papa Rellena, which was perfectly golden (I have no idea how they do this, but I love it!) and stuffed with a savory, seasoned ground beef filling that feels like a warm hug.
The ceviche is always super fresh, hitting all the right citrusy, spicy notes; and I love the corn kernels to balance it all out.
The hearty saltados are always perfectly seasoned and cooked; whether it’s steak, or shrimp; apparently they also have a chicken version. They use steak cut fries in their version which are thick, so they complement the large chunks of meat perfectly. Every bite is a rounded balance of their signature stir-fry sauce, tomato, onion, meat and French fry. This is true for both versions.
There’s a reason this restaurant has been here for over 30 years. The food is just that good!
Next time I go I’ll maybe have to try something else!
Oh! And they’re having a Valentine’s Day Celebration from 9:30 pm to 1:45 am on Valentine’s Day this year, 2/14/26. If you end up going, tell them Shaki sent you!❤️

We ordered catering from la Granja de Oro for a party and everything tasted was delicious, the quality of the chicken, meat, rice, potatoes and sauces was stellar. We had the Aji de Gallina (fabulous!); the Lomo Saltado and Causa de Pollo. The portions for 20 people were huge, very well packaged, clean and labeled, service was fantastic! Thank you so much! our guests loved it!

Best Peruvian food hands down. The white rice is the best white rice I’ve ever had. Which makes every single dish amazing in this restaurant. From the rice, to the chicken to the yellow sauce, everything has been perfected. 100% recommends eating here. They are perfect for all occasions. From big birthday parties, to small intimate meals.

First time here. 4 stars because the servers attitude was a little rude but everything was great. It’s an expensive restaurant but the portions were very big. Too much seafood and not enough different options either. We aren’t sure we are coming back.

Ok so this was a let’s stop here kind of place, but WOW, what a gem of a find! The good is amazing, tasty and so pride friendly. The portions are very big, you can devour it all or save some for your next meal. We both ordered the Lomo Saltado which is a typical Peruvian dish, and this was so dang good. We are definitely coming back and would recommend this place to anyone. The staff and owner are always present and so friendly in taking care of you and giving great suggestions if your torn between dishes. 5 stars!
