Been here twice in one week. So far I like it more than their older location. I went twice in 10 years at their old location and it was terrible both times. So far at the new spot,, I was impressed with the menu selections. Prices are decent and friendly service. On my First visit I was recommended to try the Maggie Burrito ..and WOW it was huge. First time I couldn’t eat the entire Burrito in one seating. Flavor was good and decent temperature by the time I got home. Salsas they give you are very mild in 3 flavors. Salsa cups to go are larger than all the Taco shops. Second visit I tried the Carne Asada Nachos. The meat was bland and dry, so I doused it with all the Salsas. Chips need improvements but they are OK. It came with a dash of sour cream, dash of guacamole, dash refried beans, sprinkle of Pico and a sprinkle of cheese. For the price spent and quality, I can go anywhere else and get the same. I do however think it is much better Taco shop than most in the area for what I experienced and heard so far. I do want to try many more
items here. Hopefully their menu doesn’t disappoint.

3rd time here but never for brunch. Other visits were great. It was not good. Burnt tortillas, stiff hard. The cocktails were not like last 2 visits. This person in the AM/brunch doesn’t know how to serve or make drinks. We are mexican couple and we just looked at each other like wow. Charged $15 each for drinks that a child would make. Probably never going back

Just landed in S.D. and headed to El Central so I had to get Mexican food. Google led me to this great mom and pop place that’s been in business for a long time! The starter chips and salsa was good but the side of refried beans were awesome! My pork burrito was big but a little greasy. My wife loved her eggs. It had the classic Mexican joint feel and some good choice of Mexican beers

Came here for the carnitas since I’d heard they were amazing. I thought they were really solid — I just personally prefer them a bit crispier. We also had a tamale, an enchilada with a sope, and a chile relleno, which were decent as well, i liked the tamale a lot. The hot sauces they gave us, though, tasted more like pasta sauce and weren’t spicy at all, which was kind of strange.

Place was amazing food was so good and service was great I received from a super nice lady. I am super glad I came here since I am a delivery driver for Amazon when I get lunch I will be coming here. The food is phenomenal, I had to say it again, and if you’re a foodie like I am you have to try this place. The California burrito is giant and 13$ definitely worth the price unlike other taco shops.

When I came in, I initially ordered the chile relleno burrito, but for some reason, the burrito was very oily, so I asked for something else and they agreed. I ended up eating a bacon and eggs breakfast burrito since it was still morning.
The breakfast burrito was very good and large. The eggs were well scrambled and came with a good amount of savory bacon and cheese. I really liked the quality of the flour tortilla. It had a nice buttery texture. It was good eating with the red hot sauces they had.
The gents working the front of the house was nice and apologetic about the first burrito. They offer a good amount of inside seating.

Tonight I got dinner for the family (4) and was amazed the heavy sack of food was only $39. Carnitas fries and nachos were so good and the wet burrito was filled with delicious carnitas. My son loved his rolled tacos but says next time he is ordering the carnitas fries. We have so many leftovers, we could have just ordered the fries and nachos.
I love this place but don’t go there enough because it is 1.5 miles away and I have two taco shops between here and there. We will definitely make the trip more often.

I’m a Lemon Grove native. I grew up going to Uruapan when is started in Lemon Grove years ago (formally 13 point) and La Mesa after. it was the best. Unfortunately this “pop up” using their name doesn’t come close. The rice was undercooked, it was hard. The meat was nothing what it was, it had no flavor. Would not go back. Unfortunately. Most importantly my lady and I got sick after this and that is why I’m writing this.
