Wow, this place is awesome!! Fantastic fresh food, with fast service. Fresh homemade tortillas. The chips and salsa were good, and the waitress even brought out an extra salsa with our burritos so we didn’t even have to ask. Their prices are fantastic too.

It was a little busy, and kind of small and hot but the waiter made up for it. He did a great job attending to everyone. If you’re reading this I’m the lady who told you about the money on the tables so I hope that you were able to get the tip that we left you and may you and everyone there be blessed. this was a great experience. We are from Dallas and I’m pretty sure we’ll be back when we come to visit Galveston again.

I’m sorry. I hate to leave bad reviews but this is my 4th time to visit in many years and the last. The waitress: “Careful! It’s a hot plate!”
No, it wasn’t LOL. It was warm but the food was room temperature. The beans were cold and had no flavor. NONE! How is that even possible? The chips were stale; it took way too long to get coffee refills and the meat was dried up and old. The corn tortillas I ordered were also cold and stale. Mmmm. Give me more!!!
No masks; no social distancing but hey! It’s all a hoax anyway, right?
It was absolutely horrible but the waitress was delightful, cheerful & so entertaining I left her $10 on a $30 tab. The salsa was delicious but that’s it! No more.
I won’t mention any competitor’s names here but check out my other reviews for pretty good Mexican breakfasts here on the island. I really hate to say I haven’t had any REALLY excellent Mexican food since I left Austin.

This morning my daughter and I came in to order some breakfast tacos To Go. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. This place has such a small town family feel! We got the Isabel, the Mia, and my daughter got the BEC. The tortillas were fresh and soft, the beans were yummy (and not from a can), potatoes were flavorful and bacon was perfectly crisp! My daughter ate ALL of her taco (she is a picky eater so this is a big deal lol) I would say it is definitely KID APPROVED! We will definitely be back!

We stopped by for a quick breakfast. Mixed reviews on everything.
Food was good. Miga burrito 5/10. The miga plate says it has cheese and beans and I thought it would be made the same. It just had eggs and tortilla chips with a slice of bacon. The Chorizo ala Mexicano plate 10/10. Ask for extra tortilla and was given one for free. They were delicious. The server gave us the wrong food. But was quick to apologize and correct. I have a problem with really long hair and no hair nets. Saw this twice. More attention paid to staff on break then on the guests.
I would return for a togo order.

Good breakfast burritos and nice staff… The restaurant was busy and according to the waitress they had 4 call- ins that day. Despite the lack of staff they worked as hard as possible and the made it work with great attitudes and positive energy. The food itself was good and fresh. The salsa needed to be spicier. Over all great breakfast spot in Galveston

MI Abuelitas was so wonderful!! Their restaurant reminded me of home-cooked meals I had when I was younger. Even the people there was so nice and found out they were family .Had bacon, egg, potatoes taco with home-made tortillas. Also, migas con huevas, menudo, chicharron was great. Green and red salsa was tasty. I would recommend to everyone visiting Galveston. I know I will be back!!!!!

During my vacation in Galveston, I was craving a Mexican breakfast and was lucky to find this humble place. It’s small but they had a very welcoming feel, great service and the food was esquisite. My fiance’ and I both ordered a Chorizo plate with eggs and potatoes and beans. It was so filling and delicious. It reminded me of my mom’s homemade food

1st visit – not a good start. Sign on door states orders can take 30-45 minutes or more. After we sat down a staff member asked if we would like chips and salsa. Yes, please! Chips are store bought. Salsa is practically tomato juice. I’ve had better flavor and more substance from a can of Pace Mild. I gave the salsa and chips right back. This is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING as there are Hispanic/Latino staff members cooking and managing. SOMEONE here knows how to make decent salsa. It’s 9:30 am on FATHER’S DAY and they have no pancake batter. AMAZING. Restaurant needs some serious cleaning. Caked on dust on all ceiling fans. I hope to God they don’t get turned on and throw that stuff everywhere. The other tables are only getting wiped down with wet rags. No cleaning/disinfecting solution? FINALLY! GREEN, homemade salsa! Why did the waitress tell me they only had one salsa??? Get rid of the red ‘salsa’. It’s likely going in the trash daily… And that’s it. Got the food. Bacon is burnt to a crisp. Kids won’t touch it. Wife’s eggs came out in a pool of oil. She’s done. I ordered a plate of papas con huevo. I got enough to make 1 taco and 2lbs of refried beans. Boo. I’m done. Not returning. The staff comped my entire order. I appreciate the gesture but I came to eat and pay. Maybe they should eat what they serve so they understand why it’s so disappointing. Good luck.

We were looking for something different breakfast and this place came up. Road construction in front made parking difficult but, it’s out of their control. Once inside you can tell this place is going to be authentic Mexican food. The sign on the door says expect a 30-45min wait and 30-45mins for your food. We got lucky and grabbed the last remaining table when we walked in. The meal was good no complaints but, the flour tortillas made the whole trip worth it.
