Reviews
A couple weeks ago, I had an incident in which I ordered a Caramel Frappe but received a Mocha one instead. The whole thing was that it was not only melted, but upon asking the employee if it was caramel (because I just assumed they were out of caramel drizzle and used chocolate instead) it was confirmed that it was. I was running late for a bus and had to leave. I took a sip and found that it was mocha. I ended up having to throw it away because it was both melted and gross and not what I asked for. I am on the spectrum and am very particular about my cravings and food wants. The two completely different flavor profiles actually made me physically sick. It is not something that I can help.
So, I reached out to support and left feedback about the incident. Someone reached out (Nicki) and I was offered a coupon. I accepted, no problem, and received them in the mail. Awesome, right? Well, that’s what this review is about.
I went to this location today and used my coupon. I initially went in for a plain ice cream but, no surprise here, the machine was down. So I decided to use my coupon for a PLAIN vanilla milkshake. After the guy at the counter originally tried to say that my coupon was for another location, I explained that I had received it for an incident at this location, he put it through.
He asked if I wanted whipped cream. This I heard for sure. I said yes and thought all was well.
I then received my milkshake, but noticed that it was a bit dark on the bottom. I initially assumed that chocolate and vanilla got mixed in the beginning (I used to work at McDonald’s and knew that it happens from time to time due to the way the machine works.) The issue was that it wouldn’t mix. I took a sip and got a mouthful of caramel.
I understand if this was meant to be a kind gesture and I’m sorry to complain further or risk getting anyone in trouble. However, I am autistic. If I have a specific taste for something, it can’t be changed in a way that I didn’t okay, if that makes sense. All I wanted was a plain vanilla milkshake because I couldn’t get the ice cream. The two flavors are similar enough that I’d have been satisfied. The addition of caramel caused an unintentional meltdown. I didn’t return to the store because I would have caused a scene and I didn’t want to embarrass myself.
I can’t help but wonder, however, if it was intentional. A nod to my original complaint, perhaps? I’m unsure and don’t want to assume that, but it’s just very specific.
All I ask is to receive what I order without changes. If it was a kind gesture, thank you, but I had a specific craving and the addition was unwelcome. If it was to get back at me for my complaint, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to cause trouble, I just didn’t want a mocha frappe as it makes me sick when it’s a hot day.
I’m sorry to complain, but I just can’t take it anymore.
Everything was made to order and tasted delicious.
Hash browns just right and egg not dried out as in other locations
.
Thanks much for a good experience.
Update: I’ve decided to try it out again this month and several times I have received a bug in my food or drink.
