In the great city of Emporia, the Braum’s Ice Cream and Burger Restaurant began its journey after Bill Braum developed a chain of retail ice cream stores in Kansas named Peter Pan. In honor of the birthplace of the idea of Braum’s, we hope you come and try one of our 100+ Premium Ice Cream flavors. We are located southwest of Emporia State University on 6th Street.

We went on a Sunday around 6:30 in the evening. The pla e was packed inside and at the drive thru. We waited in line 7 minutes and watched many people walk out but never saw anyone take an order. The app wasn’t working so we couldnt order on line. Every employee was working hard but they just didnt have enough staff. Just greedy employers over working a skeleton crew. We had a long drive still to go so we couldnt afford to be there for an hour and we couldnt afford to stay another 7 minutes to not get served so we did like the first 6 people in front of us and walked out. Sad to see. The food looked a smelled great.

This visit, my second to a Braum’s restaurant, was no disappointment. The burger was fresh and delicious, not like pressed and frozen patties. Real strawberries in the thick shake were sweet and rich with flavor.
The associate at the counter must have noticed that I was warm — I rode an hour with temperature in the 90s to get there — so the water cup she offered was wonderful while my lunch was prepared. Many thanks!

Whoever was working Monday Feb. 2, 2026 @5:50pm I want to say thank you all. My burger was fresh and put together with care, my fries were fresh and full, and my shake was perfectly thick and creamy, perfectly filled to the brim. Braums is my go-to when I don’t feel like cooking and will always be!

Friendly staff. Several people were mad at wait times. Didn’t matter who was in line when. They served ppl who wanted food first over people who wanted ice cream. Long lines that moved slow. Food tasted just average to poor. First time trying but won’t be back. Sorry!

It was all perfect and the best bang for your buck! From the bag of burgers, to the chicken strip dinner, and finishing with the banana split! The dinner came with an oatmeal cookie and a full size of gravy and sauce. They also have a spot to pump out extra sauce if you want more. There’s a small market with fresh fruit, homemade ice cream and dips, and of course snacks! It’s the perfect place to stop on a long road trip or a cute place for an ice cream date with their pink aesthetic and warm diner feel!

This place is great! Even a simple cheeseburger tastes delicious here. Their fries are large, krinkle cut and just begging to be dipped in sauces. Real limeades (unlike their competitor across the street). Fresh deliveries and even a market to shop at inside. Braum’s delivers high quality fast food at good prices

Great food and ice cream! The wait seems to be a bit long for what is ordered. Staff seems confused on what stations they’re at. Lobby cleanliness is got it miss at times.
