Incredible food! One the memorable things I’ve had while traveling in England this month. The wrap had a perfect flavor, texture, and spiciness. The samosa had a very nice spice to it and a great crispy outside and aromatic inside. Super affordable too. The dudes working were super friendly! I saw this place recommended on a Reddit thread and I echo the sentiment that this place is fantastic and a must try!

The onion bhaji wrap is crispy and delicious. I would highly recommend chaiwala on both price and flavour. The food is vegetarian, fresh and decently healty for an eating out meal. There is no indoor seating.

Delicious – Fresh – A1 Service … this pace is not to be missed, personal favourite is Bhaji wrap with extra chilli and a samosa on the side … also the Bhaji burger at the Christmas market was supreme … 5* gaff is Chaiwalla! Let’s all support our local independent businesses:)

Small hole in the wall style takeaway, no seating but a lovely square opposite for those not in a rush to get somewhere, otherwise the wraps travel very well (mine was still warm half an hour later). I could smell the delicious aromas before I could see the shop! Then I noticed the queue of people, always a good sign. Service was really friendly and the wrap made freshly to order. I had the onion bhaji wrap, which was bursting with flavour and very filling. Great vegan street food for on the go.

I tried the onion bhaji wrap with a samosa and chai. The wrap was really tasty—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The samosa was just okay, not bad but didn’t stand out much. It was decent, though I was expecting a bit more spice or richness.
Overall, a nice spot for a quick bite, and I’d definitely go back for that.

Absolutely love Chai Wala! The staff are always great and super friendly, and the food is consistently fantastic. They serve the best samosas and wraps I’ve ever had-fresh, flavourful, and really satisfying. My personal favourite is the baaji wrap, which I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting. Their chai is also excellent, and they offer milk alternatives like oat milk, which is a huge plus. A brilliant local Indian takeaway

A very affordable food gem in Bath. Only a couple of mins walk from the main street and right next to a beautiful square where there are several public benches to sit down and enjoy the food. We had the samosa chaat with extras of onion bhajis. It came with a hearty chickpea curry, topped with salad leaves, chopped up samosas and generously drizzled with tamarind chutney and chilli sauce (optional). It was absolutely delicious and the tanginess of the tamarind compliments the crispy samosas really well. I love the samosas so much that I went back and bought 10 frozen to take home! All the wraps and salad boxes are made to order but the service was quick and we didnt have to wait long to get our food. High recommended for a taste of Indian street food.

If you’re visiting Bath, you need to make Chai Walla a *must visit*. The BEST samosa you will ever eat, we are going back tomorrow to get more. The falafel wrap was incredible, every bite was an absolute explosion of flavour and crunch. The customer service is exceptional and the value for money is amazing.

If you’re in Bath and even slightly craving Indian street food, just go to Chai Walla. No overthinking needed.

I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up wishing I’d ordered more. The masala chai was hands-down one of the best I’ve had outside of India — rich, perfectly spiced, and not overly sweet. I grabbed a wrap (kathi roll) and it was packed with flavour, super fresh, and properly filling without feeling heavy.

The place is small but that’s part of the charm — it feels authentic, cosy, and always smells amazing. Staff were friendly and patient even when it got busy. Perfect spot for a quick lunch or snack break while exploring the city.

I so miss the #masalachai from #India, not the case anymore! Discovered this little #streetfood vendor in #Bath. The taste was phenomenal, even the #samosas tasted like those made in homes across India. And if #Jane Austen says they are the best? Who am I to argue! Loved that we had such a pleasant conversation around #sconeAsInGone. Would highly recommend. I also got to witness the building of the mixed wrap. What a whopper. It looked and smelt amazing!!! Nice to have met you all!
