As for the food, it did not disappoint. The fried catfish salad (gỏi cá trê) was outstanding — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with fresh herbs and a rich, savory sauce. It had a bold and satisfying taste that made it one of the highlights of the meal. The Pad Thai was equally impressive: well-seasoned, slightly tangy, and full of depth. The noodles were cooked just right, and the flavors were strong and authentic.
The portions were generous. Two of us ordered three dishes, and it was more than enough for a full meal. However, the prices are quite high, especially during holidays. We paid around 1,200,000 VND for three dishes for two people, and there was also a service charge added on top. While it may feel expensive, the large portions, delicious flavors, and lovely ambiance make it a worthwhile experience.
Overall, returning to Lạc Thái after 6–7 years reminded me why I liked it in the first place. Despite the higher prices on special occasions, it remains a memorable place for flavorful Thai cuisine in a beautifully decorated setting.

Honestly, it is the best Thai cuisine I have ever had in my life. The service was incredible, the staff were friendly and know all the dishes well. The food was outstanding especially the padthai, it have the juicy chicken and Tomyum. The only slightly negative point is the space is quite small. So I wouldn recommend you make a reservation in advance if you’re going with a large group. I also loved the restaurant operate in a way that is convenient because it has two branches in the City Center District 1 and Thao Dien. So overall I had a delightful experience. I highly recommend you go there. So a 4 out of 5

Yes, you can call it Thai food @ tourist price – but it is the price you pay for to get quality food with a great ambience and Sheraton / Westin-like table service.
Their squid is second to none – better than anywhere I have tried including the Westin in Bangkok.
Their papaya salad definitely hit the spot; similarly with their grilled beef salad.
Compliments to the waiting staff for their excellent and attentive service.
And the best thing is, it is set back from the main drag so it is not too rowdy or noisy – just what a fine dining restaurant should be.
One little feedback – having a small selection of kid friendly non-spicy meals would be fantastic, though the ice cream with the Oreo sweeten things off!

Great place for Thai food. The menu got a lot of signature dishes with a very Thai’s seasoning (if you not used to spicy food then you should remind the staffs). The staffs are well-trained, very supportive and friendly. The place seems small but got many tables and the orders are surprisingly quick since there were many tables ahead of us. The price is also quite reasonable for a restaurant located in district 1 and extremely suitable for new experience.

Though on one occasion I ran into a waiter who appears quite cocky and did not make sure to confirm our order, which ended up adding one extra dish we did not order. Has decent parking space and some spots for cars despite being the downtown area.
