Fantastic flavors. “Spicy” ramen is seriously spicy. Wings were too sweet. Best dish was the short ribs. The egg in the seafood soup was nearly undercooked as you can see on the pic the albumin. The other egg was perfect tho. Lost a star because we had two medium length black hairs in the ramen.

Don’t forget to purchase a jar of kimchi! $12 for a big largemouth mason.

They sell beer wine and cider.

What a great find! The short rib was insanely good where the dweji had some interesting bites that tasted like they defrosted something frozen. The ban chan carrots were insanely addicting.

Korean restaurant that has two special tables to make your own grill. You must reserve in advance. The other tables are average. The meat is well seasoned, the sides are varied. The seasoning of all the dishes is very balanced. Did I like it? Definitely YES. Would I go back… YES. In addition, the place looks clean, tidy and welcoming. The service was fast and friendly. I loved the person who served us, very friendly and despite the fact that when serving he hurt his fingers with the hot plate, he did not lose his smile or kindness. That is really a plus.

I was pleasantly surprised by this venue. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and kimchi from the banchan, and the short rib was perfect. While eating, the table next to me was delivered what looked like sundubu jjigage and I will definitely go back for that. I haven’t had much luck with eating out in Montana , but this place gave me hope. It should also be noted that the venue is next to the MVD. I highly recommend stopping by if you are stuck waiting, or if you want a great meal at a reasonable price.

After reading all the very positive reviews of this place, including a James Beard recognition, I expected a lot more. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m spoiled with amazing authentic Asian cuisine of all types near me in the Dallas area, but this place just kind of let me down a little.

That’s not to say that the food was bad, I’m just saying it lacked flavor & baseline seasonings/spice. It was very middle of the road for me.

First off the access & parking that Google gave this out-of-Towner directions to was quite confusing. Then when we entered, the door said see host for seating – there was not an obvious person to fulfill the role.

We were told sit wherever we like, but as we were headed to a certain table in this cozy restaurant, we were told to “just sit here”. Ok, fine not a problem.

I ordered an appetizer that was unfortunately not brought out until both our entrees were delivered.

The dumplings in my soup were tasty but that’s where it ended. I’ve had a lot of food that LOOKED amazing but lacked flavor, and I’ve had some MEH looking food that was out of this world. Unfortunately this was MEH looking food with MEH flavors. It didn’t taste like it had ANY garlic, onions, salt or even chicken broth.

I was a little disappointed overall because I wanted to be blown away by the food but that just didn’t happen.

Did it fill me up? Yes. Will I be returning on my next visit to Bozeman? Highly doubtful.

Sorry but if I’m going to spend my vacation money somewhere, I want it to be completely worth it.

I was order to go Teriyaki chicken with team rice and ramen . Chicken was smell bad like doesn’t keep in fridge to keep quality meat. And tastes too sweet. The soup of ramen was really bland, no seasoning, no flavoring. I don’t recommend this restaurant for anyone.

I picked my food up to go but had a glass of wine while I waited. I started out with the mandu and cucumber salad. Then, I had kim chi fried rice with Chicken (mild+) and extra kim chi. The food was delicious highly recommend. Many times I feel like take home food isn’t as good as in the restaurant , but I was highly satisfied with my entire meal. Seems like a wise choice to make a reservation on a weekend night as it’s not a huge restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!

Another hidden gem in Montana! This time, travel to Bozeman for some amazing Korean fair!
Our server Raina was super sweet and attentive.
I ordered the Seaweed Salad and Tofu Kimchi Pancakes! The Seaweed Salad was on a bed of cabbage which was a bit unusual for me but it was delicious! The Tofu Pancakes came with a side of Cucumber Salad. The salad was refreshing and the cucumbers were crunchy! The pancakes were more than I expected! My family split one while I ate the other 2. They were crispy and delicious! I am definitely learning how to make these!
My husband ordered the Dak Gal Bi with spice level 3 out of 5. The rice cakes were fantastic and the spice was perfect for him. My husband said it was an explosion of flavor with the right amount of spice!
Our daughter wanted the Korean Yellowstone Meatballs but they were out. She opted for the Korean noodles with chicken instead. She said it was like other yaki soba noodles she has had but with a bit of spice to counter the sweet.
We splurged and ordered the Hotteok! I am so glad we did because this was a cinnamon roll on crack with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup! While I had a small portion of the dessert, my family devoured the remaining 90%!
If you have time to stop by for dinner, do not delay! We arrived around 6:30 and it was busy. Shortly after we arrived, all inside seating was filled and people were dinning outside.

Not sure whats Korean about this place except the names of the dishes. Lacked flavour and authenticity in every aspect. The place sounded so good and promising. But that’s about where it ended. We were 1 of 3 couples there. We had 3 different waitresses and while they were super nice and friendly that’s about it. Service was lack luster. Upon ordering our app and drinks, we made a decision on food. Took us 15 minutes to get some chicken dumplings (easily expected for homemade dumplings). The dumplings were over fried(didn’t even know they were fried) and tasted like Kirkland brand. But they did come out hot. Upon adding a protein for $6 and kimchi for $3 I was left awe struck 55 minutes later when the food came out. The pork was 2 bites of it, literally, that’s all I ate. The sweet potatoes noodles were not good. Slimy, overcooked, unflavored and lacking any resemblance of a “noodle”. The rice bowl didn’t come with rice but they insisted it was at the bottom. 10 mins later they brought us a bowl of rice, overcooked/undercooked (hard crispy and somehow chewy at the same time had half a bite and couldn’t eat any more). and said sorry we forgot. The hardest part for me to get over is the lack of understanding of the menu from a servers standpoint. They didn’t even know what was in each dish and said it was there. Our dishes got swapped when they were brought out even asking if she was sure mine was pork and my girlfriends was chicken (a toddler could’ve told the difference) 5 min later they swapped them between us after another waitress came by and said we each had each other’s dish. Which honestly the chicken and pork tasted the same, dry and chewy. The spice level was non existent. If you give a scale of 1-5 for spicy and someone says 5 don’t give them a 2. It was sweet not spicy or tangy. It was sweet. We ordered kimchi thinking it would come on the side. Apparently they just “mix it in”. We both said we didn’t get any and they brought us some. For $3 you get a tablespoon of kimchi, maybe less. I wish i got to experience this restaurant back when the Mom owned it but unfortunately that will never be the case. Not sure where the positive reviews honestly came from. I won’t be back but to each their own I guess. Best of luck in your search food. We left with full bowls/plates sitting on the table.

First time here but I’m glad I finally took the time to try it! The food here was better than I imagined! Servers and staff were very friendly and fast. I love that the partner with the library and have a little book shelf you can buy $5 books from! Makes the ambiance cool and casual.
