First time at the La Cabana restaurant. Service was exceptional! I liked their chips and salsa, ate two bowls of chips. My Shrimp Fajitas were mediocre. Not much flavor kinda bland. My husband said his Margarita was like drinking lemonade, so they redid his drink. His Cheese Enchilada was so,so. The atmosphere was pleasurable.

If you’re looking for authentic mexican food, this is not the place. I think this is the last time I’ll ever come and eat here. The menudo was very salty, and after letting my server know, she offered no solution to fix it. They still charged me. They did apologize but that was it. They didnt bothered to remove it from my bill, or give me a credit, like other restaurants that have dignity and the quality of food means a lot to them. I hope this review helps others in selecting a better place for their sunday breakfast

We stop by for lunch after looking for places to eat around Bakersfield and site was simply amazing. Everything from servers (very attentive and always with a smile) to food (delicious). They offer a lot of choices in the menu and wait time was short. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for Mexican food in Bakersfield.

As of Saturday April 5th 2025 the Menudo was awful. Usually it is very good. It has been my go to for menudo but that date it was horrible. Cut into small pieces and the flavor just was not good. Whoever made it that day needs to do better sorry just being honest. If there gonna charge almost $17 a bowl needs to be delicious

So, I just ordered a chili Verde and egg skillet through doordash. It seems like every time I order it for delivery there is no chili verde sauce on it. It’s just the eggs, potatoes and pork chunks. Not much sauce. This time, I don’t think there was any sauce on it at all. I couldn’t taste any. Making it taste really plain. No flavor. I guess I have to just stop ordering from them. When we eat there, which is at least 3 to 4 times a month, we never have a problem. Everything we order is really good.

La Cabaña has a very welcoming atmosphere very similar to Casa Bonita and food is on pointe. We got the ranchera steak plate and seasoning was perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and remembered special requests we made on one of the plates. I also had the carne asada enchiladas with red sauce. Beans were pretty good too! Plenty of seating even during peak hours. I’m coming back for sure

I recently visited La cabana restaurant and had a disappointing experience. The carne asada fries I ordered was not only undercooked but also tasted bland and lacked seasoning. The presentation was unappealing, with the food appeared to be a kids portion for $20. Overall, the combination of poor food quality, uninviting presentation, and lackluster service left me feeling dissatisfied with my first visit. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

Great service, food was good, love their green salsa has bits of pork in it and it’s warm if you ask for it they’ll bring it with your chips service was excellent
I went to la cabana two days in a row to watch the dodger game with friends and we had a great time. The service is so great and the food is good. They have great happy hour options too.

Second time ordering Menudo here and I’m convinced it is CAN menudo. Small pieces of meat and hard hominy. No flavor goopy juice. It’s can menudo taste just like it. Do not waste your money or time here if looking for menudo. It’s weird because their menudo use to be very good in the past so idk what happen.
