Really fun and cozy atmosphere, the back room has a real fire facing a little table and leather couch that is lovely to enjoy while waiting for food or the bill. There was also an arcade cabinet with multiple games on it. Service was good, and food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the Garlic Parm Wings as appetizers, as well as authentic French Onion Soup. Burgers and fries and other meals including Schnitzel and sandwiches.
Very cozy, clean, and well maintained. The menu was clearly marked with ingredients and gluten free options or options that could be made so. Several local beers on tap as well as a cocktail menu, and Pepsi as their soda of choice.

A cozy local spot with a warm, welcoming vibe and portions so generous you might need a box to take home. Prices are fair, drinks are well made, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

I’ve been coming to Wunderbar for many years and they have been consistent. Pub food at its best, Schnitzel, burgers, salmon, strip steak, salads are always good choices. Decent wine/beer selection and a good choice of cocktails. Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.

I was in the area with my family so we stopped here on a Friday around 4. We were seated right away, ordered and got our food within a few minutes, which is great since we have 2 young kids. I did take away 1 star for the kids menu prices which I found high. The kids chicken tenders and fries were $14. I feel like kids menu options should max around $10 imo. Besides that, all we ordered (hot wings, French onion soup, rodeo burger and kids cheeseburger and chicken tenders with fries), was delicious. I normally prefer saucy wings, which these weren’t very saucy, but they still tasted good and were crispy. It was clean, the staff were all friendly and I would return sans kids in the future to have a drink at the hygge bar.

Great old time German bar. Very bar and chops set up. I was surprised how crowded it was considering no one else was on warren st. The food was good. It needed gravy though. The schnitzel was served piling hot! The interior is beautiful and antique – in a worn out / well used way.

Very friendly wait staff, great ambience, tables are sticky from past beer spillages, which is a plus as we wouldn’t have had it any other way. The name of the restaurant, however, is misleading. I thought I was going to get an authentic German meal, but at best it feels more like German-inspired dishes that cater to the American palate. Still, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and just like the sticky tables, we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The soup of the day was tomato basil. We got the fried mozzarella which was delicious and dipped them into the soup. Absolutely brilliant. The fried fish was tasty and they can do it gluten free. My wife had the grain bowl and she really liked it. The fries were very good and I didn’t care for the honey mustard. The staff was great and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Also great for the kids.

Loved the Schnitzel. It was fabulous. Light and crunchy. Probably the best ever. I’ve had veal Schnitzel many times. I liked the way this chef did pork Schnitzel.
The pineapple cider by Hudson Brewery was good, too.The entree came with a Caesar salad. I asked for the dressing on the side. I also asked for a glass of water. I did not get either. I know the server heard me because I spoke clearly and she nodded. I don’t like my salads drowning in pungent salad dressing. I didn’t bother to send it back. The salad was fresh and I ate most of it, but I really prefer to use very little dressing. The server never came back until we were ready to leave so I didn’t get to ask for water again until she was about to hand us the check. It was after 2pm. I’m afraid she just forgot.
The food is far better than average pub food. That Schnitzel can hold its own at any fine dining restaurant. My husband had the same entree but asked to substitute the salad for some amazing mash potatoes. I wish I’d done the same. We were both impressed that there were still people arriving for lunch as we were preparing to leave. It’s a cozy place and the fireplace will be nice in the winter. There are some fun, whimsical touches like the electric applause sign above the kitchen door. Bravo. The food is indeed extremely good.

Elevated pub food in a cozy setting. The restaurant/bar seems to be frequented by locals and the staff is very friendly.

The food is sufficiently good, but could be improved upon. For instance, the French Onion Soup did not have much onion flavor and the chicken in the Mexican Caesar was overly seasoned.

Prices are reasonable. Overall, a solid choice for lunch and drinks.

The food and service were amazing! Louie (the cook) made delicious food. I got the teriyaki steak rice bowl and my mom got the rodeo burger. They both were nothing short of amazing. Devon (our bartender) was very welcoming and attentive. Definitely recommend and we will be coming back.
