I didn’t thinkt the food tasted good and i didn’t like the dumplings. The inside tasted fine but I hated the wrapping. I just ordered some vegetables and dumplings and personally didn’t love it. Other than that everyone was really nice and I liked the atmosphere.

Our first time here – lunch before heading back home to Northeast Ohio.
We ordered 6 different things from the Dim Sum menu and everything was amazingly good ! The garlic and chives pan cakes were my favorite . The prices were also very affordable. It’s too bad that it’s 3.5 hours away from home because we’d eat here all the time .
The service was excellent , the server who took our order was especially helpful and kind. My daughter and I loved this place so much that I made it a point to tell the manager .

My family and I have been wanting to try the dimsum at Midtown Shangri-La for quite some time. We’ve only heard good things and we were definitely not disappointed. Reservations were quick and easy. We ordered everything from Sui Mai, Chicken Feet, Spareribs to Steam Custard Buns and Curry Squid. Everything tasted great.
Service was impeccable. The server at our table was so attentive and constantly circling back and asking if we needed more water or tea. The other server was also super helpful with checking up on our table and clearing empty plates as we were finishing dishes to clear space for more dimsum.
The only thing missing were a few items on the menu to include Egg Tarts and Rice Noodle Rolls stuffed with roasted pork or beef. I do understand that they can’t offer everything but I definitely miss those classic dimsum items.
Will come back the next time I’m in Detroit!

Everything had me saying Omgosh YUM! I got the king roll, egg drop soup, crab rangoons, chicken lo mein, sesame chicken and green curry! Everything was so amazing! Great flavors and cooked fresh and to order! Shareable sizes but I wanted left overs! The owner(s) were so nice, the atmosphere was very intimate, and our server Kate was so nice and patient and could tell she really loved where she worked! New favorite spot! Will be back! Thank you!!!!

Excellent food. Love the option of ordering din-sum along side their standard entrees. Super consistent quality, great value, and plenty of variety. The best option for Chinese food in Detroit city limits. They have been great for years and my last meal was no different.

I love this place! Honestly it’s rare to see a restaurant do such a variety of things and do it all so well. The sushi is amazing. The entrees are delicious. They have a decent selection of beer and wine, and they make great cocktails! The staff is so friendly, attentive, and helpful. Excellent selection of vegetarian options, but the meat dishes are delicious as well.

Beyond the fantastic food, the experience offers remarkable value. The pricing here is surprisingly affordable, making the superior quality of the dim sum an incredible bargain.

This was a very pleasant surprise, recommended by a friend. We ate at the bar and I wish we caught the name of the woman that served us..she was great, very helpful and accommodating with my partner and the dietary restrictions from being Celiac+Lupus.. which can make finding safe places to eat here difficult to say the least. There were several very delicious dim sum options we could both enjoy including a really nice deep-fried baby squid and some seafood kau. I also had curried squid that was amazing. The small (albeit limited) bar had several yummy and inventive drinks. I had a personal favorite local belgian-style beer that was on tap, there are also several domestic and imported bottles on offer. We are very much looking forward to subsequent visits to enjoy some sushi and entrees and sharing this gem with friends. Thank you so much!
