Cozy little space, eclectic decor, helpful service, quick turnaround for food. Being an older building it did have a musty smell, but they offered outdoor seating. The bread pudding was the best part!

A lovely place but really slow service
We have wanted to try this place for years since we drive by it a lot. It has a charming spot in between the east and west bound lanes of eau gallie on the mainland side of the causeway. It is in the eau gallie downtown area on the south side of the shoppes in the middle of the road. Parking can be difficult to find. There is street parking and a parking lot to the west of it (more toward US-1). It has outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor is 2 rooms with 1 big table in the center, bar seating and about 7 other tables of 4 seaters or less. The outdoor seating is on both sides of the restaurant. Their menu is both American and Irish with Burgers and cottage pies and many choices for drinks. The menu is found on your phone using the qr code on the table. There was a musician in the outdoor space closer to the entrance. We sat in the outdoor space to the rear. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly and the very nice waitress could not get the heater to work. The outdoor seating on that side was picnic benches with limited lighting at night. We, apparently, picked a night that they had a large party and limited wait staff. The waitress was very nice and kept apologizing for the lateness of the food. We ended up waiting 1 hour and 25 minutes for our meals to come out. The food was delicious and well worth going for that but choose a day when big parties are not there or try to time it so you order before they do. Overall, the waitress was wonderful, they have great food but it was a REALLY long wait from order to delivery. Choose your visit timing wisely.

Fantastic little find on our anniversary weekend getaway. We attempted to come Saturday, but didn’t make it. Got there Sunday and it was our favorite place immediately. The “Peel Me Slowly” should be a permanent fixture on the cocktail menu. Honestly, this was the reason we came, but our server Juliette (hopefully I got this right) and it bartentender Hailey (again, I hope I got it right) made it a very personable experience. The fish and chips were very good, and the Irish Espresso Martini was a standout for my wife. Fantastic little pub that I can’t recommend enough!!

The fish and chips used to be better. It seems like they use a low quality frozen version these days. It’s been rubbery and chewy on more than one occasion. The curry sauce is delicious with the fries tho. ($3.00 for a cup of curry sauce) 3 stars because it’s pricey for what it is. If they used a better quality filet I’d frequently visit.

Our server Claire, was great and saved the experience.. We called days ahead to notify the establishment of our large party of 20+ coming in. Spoke to a manger who surprisingly discouraged us from coming in as she “would have needed to know about a party our size, 2 weeks prior to accommodate”. We already extended invites so decided to roll with it. Much to our surprise, we were greeted and taken care of by Claire. She was EXCELLENT. Food was great. Traditional Irish pub atmosphere. Turns out a cook came in early, knowing about our large party. No complaints aside from the non-personable manager who tried to turn away a LOT of business.

I’ve lived here for years and never stopped by- so glad we finally did! Our server, Juliet, was kind, funny, and so knowledgeable. She made us feel like family. We enjoyed not only her hospitality, but food and drink recommendations as well. Our glasses were never empty and she was very timely with service. Couldn’t recommend her more, I’d give her 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back!!

i had such a great experience with juliet at the irish cottage pub! she does both serving and bartending, and you can tell she really knows what she’s doing. from the moment we walked in, she was welcoming, attentive, and had the best energy.

she handled drinks and food effortlessly, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out quickly and exactly how we wanted it. even when it got busy, she stayed calm, organized, and kept the vibe fun. our glasses were never empty, and she checked on us at all the right times without being overbearing.

juliet truly makes the experience better. if you’re at the irish cottage pub, definitely ask for her — she’ll take such good care of you!

Cottage for the win! We love the upgraded tables inside and enhanced menu! We are regulars at the Cottage for Wednesday quiz night and always appreciate the cozy pub environs and friendly chats with the staff. I love the upgraded fish and chips – a single large piece of fish (at last! so many American pubs get it wrong with tiny pieces). The new potato petals are well worth the upgrade $ over the standard fries. Now all you have to do is bring back the roast beef and add a turkey rueben and I’ll award a 6th star!

We had a delightful time! Good food, wonderful staff, and perfect pours. There was even a really good singer/guitar player performing live. And it was just the right volume – you could enjoy the music but continue your conversation too. Lovely place – highly recommend!!
