Ordered pizza for my family that came in from out of town for Thanksgiving and they loved it. This was my second time having it and it was still consistently good. Sausage and pepperoni taste fresh. Although the green peppers are canned, they still tasted good, You really couldn’t tell the difference from the fresh ones. We really appreciated Anna as she was super nice and helpful with our order over the phone. Great customer service. Also, you can’t go wrong with their prices. Very reasonable and cheaper, compared to other pizza restaurants. Glad my sister introduced me to this place, as now they are my go to for delicious pizza.

We’ve been coming to Gigio’s on Broadway for years, and tonight was honestly the most disappointing pizza I’ve ever gotten in Chicago.
We ordered a $23 pie and it looked like someone dumped an entire can of pineapple with all the liquid still in it straight onto the pizza. The whole thing was completely soggy and watery. The cheese and toppings were sliding right off every slice — nothing was melted properly, nothing was sticking together. The crust was drenched with juice. It was basically impossible to eat.
I don’t know what went wrong in the kitchen today, but this was nowhere near the quality we’re used to from Gigio’s. For the price, this shouldn’t be happening. Really hoping this was a one-off mistake, but we were extremely disappointed.

A Hidden Gem in Uptown – Pizza Perfection at Gigio’s!
Gigio’s Pizza at 4643 N Broadway is hands down serving the best pizza I’ve ever had — no exaggeration. We ordered a 14” medium pizza with anchovies, black olives, and extra cheese, cut into classic Chicago-style squares. From the very first bite, it was pure divine goodness. The dough was incredible — soft, chewy, and flavorful with just the right crispness on the edges. The toppings were perfectly balanced, and the extra cheese took it to the next level. Absolute perfection!
The staff were so very friendly too, what a pleasure!
We also tried the Italian Beef Sandwich, which comes with crispy fries and a rich, savory dipping sauce. It was phenomenal — packed with flavor, tender meat, and that classic Chicago taste done just right.
Gigio’s is a true neighborhood treasure. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Uptown, do yourself a favor and eat here. The food, the portions, and the quality are simply outstanding.

Walked into this establishment yesterday for the first time. The man behind the counter was on his phone. I patiently waited, then finally asked can I help you. I asked do you sell slices? The look that was given made me feel dumb while he says “yeah” I looked at the pizza on the tray that appeared to be hours old and said, may I have 2 FRESH slices of cheese pizza? He said well they’re all made at the same time but pulls up another tray. Takes the two slices tosses them in the oven and immediately goes back on his phone. Finally the two slices get put on a plate tossed in a bag and I’m told have a good day as he walks away. Customer service is definitely not a concern here. Neither is cleanliness. How are you going to touch your phone then someone’s food?
The pizza was nothing to write home about. It lacked flavor. I was hungry. We all know when your hungry anything tastes good. NOT here. Needless to say. This was definitely a FIRST AND LAST for me.
Stopping into an establishment is a person’s Choice. Hire people that want to make your establishment shine!

Gotta stop her for their New York style jumbo slice- fantastic. Comes heated from the oven on a paper plate in a greasy to go brown bag. Heaven in a bite. This is a chicago gem in uptown after a show at Riv or a night out or even during the day for a quick bite. No frills dining area and outdoor tables on Broadway

This is some great pizza. Thin chewy crust. Good sauce. Tons of cheese. The burger was great too. Hand cut fries to top it off. Place was clean and the staff was nice. Will definitely make the drive back.

Been eating here frequently for 30 years (since the mid 90s). They’ve always had some of the best deals on a slice and soda when you’re on the go or good prices on full pizzas. The portions are good and the flavor is there.
If it’s your first time, I recommend the sausage pizza 100%. Big chunks of sausage with strong fragrant herbs and spices.
My only complaint is.. the pizzas used to be thinner and more.. buttery. Still good but not like the old days. Times change I guess

10/10 pizza ! i got the Cheese Special that came with fries and a drink! close to about $8! absolutely delicious and comforting. A place gives me blast from the past vibes (in a good way!) the type of place you’d beg your mom for $5 after playing outside on a summer day! I’m glad i checked this place out
