I stopped in for a quick slice on my way to an appointment and got a slice with pepperoni. A very sweet woman told me to take a seat and brought me a water with lemon in a glass, nice touch. The dining area was very clean and nicely decorated, not a “cheesy” looking pizza joint at all, excuse the pun. The pizza was to die for, hot, fresh, delicious with an outstanding cheese pull. And the crust was crispy, it all hit. My only regret is I didn’t have time to finish it there. Took what was left to go. The staff was friendly and warm. Best pizza I’ve had since I lived in New York City. Will be back for sure!

We’re visiting the area and Franco’s did not disappoint!!
Coming from New Jersey where great pizzerias are a dime a dozen, we were concerned when we heard “Delaware has no good pizza”. But that isn’t true.
We stopped at Franco’s and ate inside. Our server was so sweet! We got our food quickly and everything was fresh and absolutely delicious!
The pizza has that cheesy, melty goodness that you’d see in an episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The fries? Crispy and flavorful. The bread!? Don’t even get me started on the bread and the dipping oil.
We had to roll ourselves into the car and slept pretty well from the carbo-load. We can’t wait to be back! If you’re a transplant to Delaware from NY/NJ… this is your spot.
If you’re a Delaware native… go to Franco’s. The chains have nothing on this gem!

Always loved their food and ordering from them but a little while ago my mother and I order take out and they messed up my large calzone. I did not order the pepperoni calzone but that’s what they sent. So I call and tell them and the girl asks if I want to bring it back for the right one and I declined because it was too much to go back there and wait again so she said ok and that my next order was on them. I thanked her and she went to hang up and I stopped her, “whoa! Don’t you need my info?!” She giggled and apologized and said yes so I gave her the name and address and phone #. Hung up. But when I call to get my free replacement the girl puts me on hold and I hear a female in the background ask if I have my receipt. Noo I was not told to keep a receipt and when I asked what info she needed she only needed my name and address and phone #. She puts me on hold and tells the other woman and the other woman tells her “oh well.. I can’t find it” she didn’t even bother to look! The other young lady picks up the phone again and says “I’m very sorry but unfortunately…. . .” Yeah I don’t got time for that crap. She didn’t even bother to look. She immediately says “oh well.. I can’t find it” and just leaves the other female to handle it and come up with something. Over 20 years I’ve been going there. I remember collecting payments from the Italian man who I am assuming was the owner Franco for the heating and air unit or fix done by the Appliance Refrigeration. The business I worked for back early 2000’s which they did not do for everyone back then.. and I would stop and collect on MY TIME which I wasn’t paid for then just cause they’d always been so great to me.. but this..?? Smh I’m ashamed to say I even eat there after this type of treatment. I was going to also purchase a few meals on top of getting my free OWED calzone but after this. I sent my husband right to the Chinese place next door to spend our money on the 5 meals we needed for tonight. Never again.

My partner and I are visiting family in Dover and decided to try Italian food for Monday dinner. Since it was Monday, many of the local eateries were closed, so we tried Franco’s, which is a bit of a drive. Very good food.
The restaurant has the “pizza place” look and feel with small tables throughout and busy wait staff moving about.
My partner ordered the Manicotti with the bread and a small side salad. The bread is fresh, hot and very good. The salad was fresh and the pasta was good with the sauce having a bit too much oregano.
My sister and I ordered a medium Cheese Pizza which was very good. Big surprise.
Overall, the pizza is very good, the Marinara had too much oregano for a pasta sauce, the bread and salad were fine.
Service is excellent.

Nice hidden gem near the AFB. Great pizza and sandwiches. High quality and large portions. Will be returning.

Far better during the busy weekend days! Unfortunately, the food quality drops way off on a random Monday or Tuesday. If you know this fact, this place is wonderful however.

I have never been in here before so I Stopped in for lunch got a few slices. I am always looking to top notch pizza according to my taste buds.Total came to like 7 something more around 8 dollars could have got a whole pizza for that much. So I walked in the girl was on the customer side of the register area on the phone with her back turned to me. She got off the phone and asked if I was ordering or did I already order. So I asked “Do you sell slices” she said “yes” so I Ordered my 2 slices. I looked around for a menu board or something with prices or lunch specials but I did not see anything. So another guy walks in and she tells him there is a special with 2 slices and a salad for around 10 dollars.I was instantly shocked.. GUESS WHAT I LIKE SALAD TOO…I just thought to myself.. So future reference If a large pizza is 3 dollars more then please tell me or if you have a slice special please tell me. PIZZA IS AMAZING I WILL HAVE TO TRY THE OTHER FOOD THERE… And this is no complaint just an observation

We ordered a large cheese pizza, one medium meet pizza and shrimp Alfredo, the total was $71. Meat pizza was surprisingly good. Cheese pizza was decent (I’m from NY and haven’t had great pizza outside the tri-state area yet) and the Alfredo was horrible. Alfredo sauce was very watery. Initially we called and asked for plain shrimp Alfredo, luckily we called to check on the order because they made it with mushrooms, which we are allergic to. Waited about 11 mins for the “new” shrimp Alfredo. I cannot confirm this, but I assume this was the same batch they originally made and just dumped the sauce with the mushrooms. Luckily, no allergies were triggered, but I find it odd that the pizza that was already cooked was hotter than fresh cooked shrimp pasta off the stove. We’re located on base, so it took me maybe 4-5 minutes tops to arrive at the restaurant. Pizza was pretty good, but pricey. I do not trust their pasta and I don’t see myself eating there again. I don’t mind paying for good food, but the value and price do not match here. The people at the register were very nice, but we had family come in from out of town and were greatly disappointed.

We’d travel from Canada to Dover again just to have dinner here. Best Alfredo I’ve ever had, and the pizza was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Sorry, no photo of the Alfredo. I started eating it before I thought about taking a photo. Sorry!! NOT SORRY!! LOL
